And now we're gutting shit like the EPA with the BBB, meaning companies like auto makers and manufacturers can make money now that energy is going to be cheap since we aren't screaming about carbon.
A whole lot of the OBBB "deficit increase" is speculation over how much more money in taxes would have been collected if the 2016 Trump tax cuts had been allowed to lapse. Federal tax revenue has been increasing on the same trajectory since 2008, basically mirroring money printing, regardless of changes to the tax code.

The big hope I suppose if it only runs in certain states rather than attempts to run nationwide. In prior tweets and retweets he argued it doesn't need to win substantially to influence things, just get enough seats to work as an implicit coalition with the Republicans to push through certain legislation. But I don't think America is really built for multiple parties anymore. He would've been better off trying to primary specific, Elon-aligned candidates and stuff in the Republicans and/or Dems if he wants to influence things.
