That might be part of the intent, but the thing is that I can't imagine any rational person would believe that Montagraph murdered JBR. And certainly not under the tinfoil hat circumstances that are being presented by one or more kooky people on the Internet.

If you look at Montagraph's OP, Null made very clear, VERY early on, that there was a lot of nutcase shit out there about Montagraph that's not to be trusted. Monty got that thread because of his overly litigious nature. Not because of claims he's a pedo, or because he murdered JBR, or made an actual snuff film, or anything like that. It's actually an extremely fair OP. Boring even.

And Null wrote that in 2019, when he was still on good terms with with Rekieta. So it's not like there's a sudden shift in opinion on his part just because that's no longer the case.

Bottom line is nobody seems to be able to nail down Monty on the most salacious shit that is said about him. Not even the watermelon story. This begs the question whether his reputation is as much in the toilet as Nick would want people to believe. He has a thread that's only 19 pages long.
