This is why when you see a movie that has an idealistic future settings, one of the things they mention is shooting all the politicians and lawyers was a necessary part of the process to reach a utopian state
I can't say I recall seeing such a movie; and the Shakespeare quote you're referencing was from a character supporting the establishment of a communist-style dictatorship.
JACK CADE: Valiant I am.

SMITH [aside]: A must needs; for beggary is valiant.

JACK CADE: I am able to endure much.

DICK [aside]: No question of that; for I have seen him whipp’d three market-days together.

JACK CADE: I fear neither sword nor fire.

SMITH [aside]: He need not fear the sword; for his coat is of proof.

DICK [aside]: But methinks he should stand in fear of fire, being burnt i’ th’ hand for stealing of sheep.

JACK CADE: Be brave, then; for your captain is brave, and vows reformation. There shall be in England seven half-penny loaves sold for a penny: the three-hoop’d pot shall have ten hoops; and I will make it felony to drink small beer: all the realm shall be in common; and in Cheapside shall my palfrey go to grass: and when I am king,– as king I will be,–

ALL. God save your majesty!

JACK CADE: I thank you, good people:– there shall be no money; all shall eat and drink on my score; and I will apparel them all in one livery, that they may agree like brothers, and worship me their lord.

DICK: The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.

The general view is that Dick was being sarcastic, or possibly Shakespeare was being sarcastic through him.

It would make sense for Greer to file a response to the status report, if nothing else. And by "make sense" I mean "be entirely typical of Greer's retarded notions of how the law and courtroom procedure works."
I was kind of surprised he didn't file it last week. Also, in ECF 333 he said he was considering filing an interlocutory appeal about the sanctions, but that never came. Even though that Motion to stay was denied, he still could have appealed the sanction while paying it by the deadline. If he's in his NEVER GONNA PAY manifesto phase, he could at least back it up with an actual appeal.

I still think the next development is going to be the Magistrate dropping an omnibus nuke by the end of the week.

filing an interlocutory appeal

By the rules, are you even allowed to file an interlocutory appeal for a sanction of this type? Isn't this one of those "shall" situations, and for the parts that aren't necessarily "shall" doesn't that fall under the rather broad area of a judge's discretion? Aren't other courts loathe to intervene in areas of judicial discretion unless it is a clear abuse of authority or process?

Yes, the context in the Bard was that in order to enact their dastardly plan, they would have the remove the arbiters of justice first. It is often mis-quoted as an endorsement for anarchy, when it is th eopposite.

Many such cases exist, To wit: 'Ignorance is bliss', 'Curiosity killed the cat', and others that contradict the usual invocation.

Also, Russel should DEFINITELY petition SCOTUS directly for an appeal to show the court how serious for reals he is.

It would be unusual and surprising if nothing from Greer shows up in the docket by the end of tomorrow. It's unlike him to take this long to respond though it was a short week with the Friday holiday and entirely possible that there was enough of a backlog of real filings on Thursday that the clerk pushed off until next week whatever tripe Greer spit out. Has anyone checked if he had scheduled any appearances with the city councils of remote Nevada towns to explain to them the importance of whores or why they ought to use eminent domain so that he can have a brothel?

The problem is that appealing the sanctions is a big big deal. It costs $605. At that point you might as well just pay the sanctions.

Does he even know that case is happening?

This is Greee we're talking about here. He'll pay the Court $605 if he absolutely has to, but there's no way he'll give a red cent to Null or Hardin unless garnished.

Dunno about city council meetings, but remember when he posted on LinkedIn professing to have two properties "under contract" and he was seeking investors? He has evidently deleted that post (or it was removed for him), and has a new post up in a different group:

The full name of the group is "SexTech, Sexual Wellness, and Sexual Health Professionals Networking Group" and yes, of course he liked his own post. Evidently there's some urgency in play, as he still claims the two properties are "under contract" but he desperately needs an investor because they need to close in July. The current narrative is "My investor got sick and can’t commit" as opposed to previously "My investor fell through." If the prices he's claiming are accurate, it might be possible to track them down in real estate listings for counties where brothels are legal. I do love that he's now requiring an NDA and an "investor questionnaire." He probably got a ton of scammers coming after him from the last post, so sad. But it sure is fun that he keeps posting, in public, about having a business with active real estate transactions even though he claims to be too poor and hardshipped to pay for copies of discovery docs.

Speaking of scammers, oh yes, he continues to leave comments on LinkedIn too. I wonder how this conversation went when they took it private:

Also, not really relevant but if you have LinkedIn, log in and check out the posts he leaves "likes" on. You will not be at all surprised.

Huh? It's this case.

How would an investor being "sick" interfere with a business deal? Unless someone is literally dying, sickness wouldn't stop most businessmen from participating in a deal they are serious about.

Also, as far as Rusty's numbers regarding those properties, it's entirely possible he just made those up compared to what they are really asking for those properties. Remember, he tried to tell a court that they should take someone else's land, sell it to him, and that in his opinion it was only worth 1/10 of its true value.

Speaking of scammers, oh yes, he continues to leave comments on LinkedIn too. I wonder how this conversation went when they took it private:

I bet she quickly found out he was a scamming freak and shut him down.

Huh? It's this case.
So the mystery investors that definitely exist suddenly can't give him the 100K to buy an empty plot? He'll probably explain in his next plightspering how Hardin killed the investors with stress from his emailing of Winnemucca city employees.

Surely an empty plot that's zoned for a brothel would be publicly listed. Also if it's only $40K it must be in the absolute middle of nowhere if even that Christian group that bought the Cherry Brothel isn't getting it.

he still claims the two properties are "under contract" but he desperately needs an investor because they need to close in July.
Given that there are only a handful of places in Nevada where prostitution is legal, and most of these places have strict zoning laws in place, would there even be two suitable properties available? Or is Greee going to attempt to woo another council like unsuccessfully did with Winnemucca, and lobby for their city's brothel zone to be extended?

"are under contract to me" is interesting wording. Usually you have to put a deposit down to get to that point, so you aren't wasting the seller's time. If they need to close by July, that indicates whatever he's doing was recent.

Did Greer put down a deposit money at the same time he was complaining about a $83 document charge? I know IFP was revoked in May, so he can't be hanged on IFP fraud now. He repeatedly claims he is able to pay the sanction, he is just unwilling due to Hardin's multi-state crime spree.

Of course the first rule of Greer posting is Greer always lies, so the more likely scenario is he doesn't have anything under contract, just "interest" in an email. But it would be interesting to get an answer before a judge starts pondering more sanctions and his ability to pay.
