If he was working for various Western intelligence agencies, they probably knew when the FBI was going to move before hand. Epstein was connected, Ghislaine was connected, lots of serious money people, this wasn't some amateur hour operation. There likely was some kind of list, it's also entirely possible that said list is in a safe in Langley and by the time the FBI got there, shit was scrubbed. Or chilling in another Five Eyes country.
