Ahh yes, the classic "boards over every window". That usually seems to precede the hasty spray painting on one side of the house "NO TRESPASSING" and "CONDEMNED: DO NOT ENTER".

Things are looking up for the Chandlers :)

As more and more time passes, the more depressing the sight of the Chandler house gets. In four months, almost nothing has been done--whether because the insurance company can't (or won't) fix it, or because the Chandlers are resisting out of love for their hoard, or some other reason, I don't know. I realize there's been some wacky weather, but still. I've seen houses burn and the rebuilds nearly finish in six months. It's just really sad the longer that house rots there in its own ashes.

Your friend wasn't CWC

A House Flood is in many ways more damaging than a house fire, you know, especially when the entire house got flooded, this fire wasn't in the entire house.

And you say "wasn't CWC" as if to say that with that lazy, unassertive fuck CWC taking control of the situation, he would go the easier path and destroy the house…

Okay, fine. If Chris and Barb are fine being homeless for the sake of being lazy.

It wasn't a 14 BC house fire

They're not homeless, unfortunately :alog:

They went and got themselves some brand-new plywood! Things are looking up for Charb.

At the very least, this means that there's some human presence taking care of things, albeit minimally. That counts for something... right?
