Breaking: Attempted Ambush of Border Patrol Agents in Texas, Suspect Did Not Survive - Redditor or cartel sicario? Either way, they got BTFO'd by Border Patrol

Immigration enforcement agents are under attack across the country as Democrats and their mainstream media allies ramp up their dangerously incendiary rhetoric against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, DHS, the border patrol, and President Trump's illegal immigration policies.

The latest instance occurred on Monday morning in Texas, where border patrol agents were targeted in what appears to be an ambush attack.

The suspect did not make it out alive, according to Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin:

Three federal & TX law enforcement sources tell me an active shooter with a rifle & tactical gear ambushed Border Patrol agents as they arrived at a Border Patrol annex facility in McAllen, TX this morning. Local police and federal agents returned fire, killing him. I’m told this was a purposeful ambush/attack against federal agents and a press conference is planned for later this morning. No federal agents injured. Im told a McAllen police officer may have been shot, but is in stable condition.

DHS also provided this information:

“This morning, an individual opened fired at the entrance of the United States Border Patrol sector annex in McAllen, Texas. Both Border Patrol agents and local police helped neutralize the shooter. This is an ongoing investigation led by the FBI. More information will be shared as it becomes available.”

The attempted ambush comes on the heels of reports that Democrat lawmakers are being pressed by angry, unhinged constituents to be more aggressive in their attacks on the Trump administration - and to even be willing to take one for the team if necessary when visiting federal facilities including ICE detention centers, which my colleague Rusty Weiss reported on earlier.

I dunno I hear conflicting stories about the reality of hit men. Like there’s no dedicated people assigned to it, it’s just a side gig for 99% of them many of whom are chosen more for being expendable than for being competent.

Other than when the cartels overwhelm the authorities in Mexico like when they besieged that one city to free El Chapo or one of his spawn, their ability to threaten trained and prepared opponents seems overblown mostly.

Mine as well for similar reasons as well as this taking place right after the "No Kings" protests and BBB signing. I don't think cartels are exactly vengeful on their repeat customer insurance. I also suspect that they can use ICE as a weapon against those that are already indebted in the US: fail to make your payments and we'll get you deported and taken care of back home.
