With Creator Clash ending and likely not coming back, I want to share a story.A little over two years ago, before I started my current channel, I attended Creator Clash 2 as a fan. I had just gone through some major life changes and went to celebrate my birthday, have some fun, and escape for a bit. What I didn’t expect was to walk away with a completely different outlook on YouTube and on life.At the event, I met a bunch of big creators I had looked up to for years. At the time, they felt massive, like they were operating on another planet. I always assumed they had something I didn’t. After all, some of them had millions of subscribers. But meeting them in person changed everything for me. I realized they were just regular people. Talented, sure, but still human like everyone else.It may sound dumb or a bit dramatic, but that simple experience blew my mind at the time. It gave me the confidence to eventually start my own channel, because I kept asking myself, if they could do it, why couldn’t I?People always say, “Don’t meet your heroes,” but I’d argue the opposite. Because of that realization, I’m now sitting here with 250,000 subscribers, working full time as an independent YouTuber, and creating the kind of content I truly care about. So while Creator Clash may be coming to an end, I really hope the idea behind it lives on. We need spaces that bring online communities together in real life. For me, it was the spark that started everything and truly changed my life.P.S. If you're on the fence about starting a channel, do it. If I could, so can you.
