Jake used to at least get some likes or replies, but now it's a rarity to see either on his posts. I guess even the most diehard rainbowhair can only take so much Googlshngs about Jake needing to have his hand held just to read his own social media before leaving him to sit in his hovel as his feet slowly rot away.
Uh yeah so like… hello? I’m not doing at all well and uhm it’s like really hard when you have to look at well known dog whistles and if you could just like NOT okay?

On the other app you couldn’t get away from uhm the sorts of things that are like really hard to read and if you have any compassion maybe don’t bring that here, okay? It’s just not possible to filter everything but if you could all make a concerted effort so that those of us who have been dealing with this for so long don’t have to go through our mentions and educate people on the reality that we’re all facing then like that would be really great okay? Especially when things are rough here and I hate to mention it but like hello, I’m a writer and game designer and if you could see your way to maybe sending some work my way I could maybe you know. Yeah. But if you really want to help then hello here’s my Patreon and like maybe a couple bucks could help me not be homeless this month. Yeah. So like, thanks?

The Farms is a valuable resource for seeing that in his own words Jake has been on the edge of homelessness and death for the last several years. Years and years of this ebegging.

What happens if he actually faces real life consequences? Would we be able to tell or would it be lost in the usual sea of googleshngs? I have no doubt he’d find a way to post.

Jake said "some minor emergencies and medical stuff" delayed his last stream a little. He still played games for almost nine hours.

He also recapped the preceding stream.

I've been perplexed by Jake's idea to stream and then post onto YouTube these unbearably uninteresting Let's Plays, but after his monetization rant, I realize that he actually believes that this is going to make him some money. He thinks that as soon as he gets monetized by YouTube, his cut of the 12 hits that each video gets is going to pull him out of poverty.

This also explains why he has inexplicably been able to follow through with this task unlike every other project he's taken on, this is his nest egg and is going to provide him with a lifetime of passive income. It's another obviously fruitless attempt to make money doing anything but working.

I hope he actually does reach the monetization goal so that we can see everything come crashing down once he realizes that the entirety of the ad revenue he's made so far is probably about $0.50.

It's so hard to tell what he actually believes, but yes, I do think he has some sort of expectation that Twitch and/or Youtube can be a free money printer if he just jumps through the right hoops. He hasn't beat the drum for Twitch monetization lately but he used to talk about how nice it would be if he could get some money from it and make a living if he got enough subs to become a partner.

I do wonder how much of this is a LARP for Mom though, implicitly or explicitly. Like, he's never a NEET, just a struggling game designer, struggling journalist, struggling streamer. You wouldn't want to kick him off of the bottom rung of the ladder that he's totally on and totally climbing, right?

I'm more curious if Mom and co actually believes him. He has had 20 years to prove himself, and yet...

Well, his """job""" does pay half his living expenses, or thereabouts. My suspicion is that he's got Mom convinced he works for that money. "But Mom, if I don't stream today, that $1000 in Patreon money will go poof!"

I love that Jake thinks automated phone systems are new AI things rather than something that's been around since the 1980's and that they have to feed his information into it rather than just have it access CVS's existing database.

Why doesn't Jake use the website or app? Why do I think "won't process the prescription" isn't the entire story? Is this the same prescription they told him to get changed?

Why does Jake think everything was "redesigned" to be like this instead of just never designed otherwise?

I'm convinced people who rant about cars fundamentally don't understand the concept of distance. Even as they often rant just as much about sprawl.

Jake continues to post about seeing screenshots from X like he's a Vietnam vet with severe combat PTSD in this multi-cow crossover.
