Poor Gator doesn't even have Ralph's drug and alcohol addiction to put him out of his misery early. The reality is very few people give a shit about what Gator cares about give or take. Most people obviously don't care about hyper niches like vtubers, it's just like the vast majority of online communities. Everyone is spread out and far between. Put yourself into these peoples' shoes and try to see if there are any people around them that also likes vtubers. The chances to find someone in that town, city, or local area are relatively few. If you live in a city of 50-100,000 you're likely to encounter maybe 10 or 15 people at most who also share your interest, and it's more likely to be less than that in reality.

People forget that people online can concentrate easily to make it look like they have more influence than they actually do. It's kind of how Robert E. Lee tricked McClellan into thinking he had more troops than he actually did the failed attempt to take Richmond circa 1862.

Unfortunately getting a job doesn’t work. I’ve seen cars in the work parking lot with anime stickers on the passenger windows to make it look like they’re in the car, seen a car on the road with side decals of some busty anime girl, and in grad school at my part time job I suffered through a coworker who was for all intents and purposes a balding Gator-esque character who kept trying to shove anime on me despite my disinterest and mockery of it (he also said he had a Japanese girlfriend too). I don’t think Gaytor is going to get better, only worse.
