Why would you include bombing iran in that list? Literally 0 down sides and everyone except the most ardent anti-jew or muslim lover were big fans of that.

Now the epstein shit, the lindsey graham shit and ESPECIALLY the farm wetbacks... Yeah thats worrying as fuck.

The greatest flaw of Liberalism, and I mean this in the traditional context of the term, in that the Republicans are Liberals too, is not the belief in "All men are created equal." That is a major flaw to be sure, in that it is farcical to even believe its true. The Greatest flaw of Liberalism is the belief that Power exists to bring about utopia. An utopia where everyone is happy, everyone is free, everyone gets what they want. That is not what power is for. Power exists to be used for the furtherment of those who wield it.

The purpose of morality and traditions is to inculcate in those who wield power a sense of duty and care to the nation and their subjects. Such that when Power is wielded, it is done for the benefit and advancement of both the wielder and his subjects. This is something traditional societies did. It is something Liberal societies do not. In fact, Liberal Societies are absolutely allergic to the idea that people need to be inculcated with the idea they are not an individual. That in fact they are a part of a great social structure in which greater power incurs greater responsibilities. For those who lack power, they must submit to be the instrument of those who have it, and for those who do have power, they must act with moral authority that they do not abuse the care entrusted to them by the people so wielded.

Because Trump has a very anti-war stance and that's what he ran on and what I supported and voted for. We only bombed Iran because Israel demanded we do it, so we did. Being controlled by a foreign government that continually drags us into sand wars is not a good thing for America believe it or not.

Thing is, Birthright Citizenship isn't part of the OG Constitution. It's not even part of the Bill of Rights which was written by The Founders. It's 80 years later.

There was no intent by The Founders, or even the post Civil War people who wrote that amendment, that any baby born here would be a citizen, and de facto it's parents would get permanent residency here and/or citizenship.

If you're a SC Justice who is an Originalist's Originalist, that should matter.

I don't think you can unring the bell and deport every Jose, Manuel, and Jesus who was born in East LA to wetbacks, but you can prevent it going forward.

I would be all for a strict interpretation that says "if you're a tourist or border jumper who has a kid here you have two choices: go back to Venezuela and raise your kid, and when he turns 18 he can come here and enjoy the benefits of being an American Citizen. Or you go back to Venezuela and lil Paco the Taco stays here as a ward of the state in an orphanage or foster care."

But that would never work because of "20 Pictures of Crying Illegal Moms That Will Make You Say Fuck Borders and Laws and Shit."

Utopia is unobtainable. Good enough is what is achievable. I would rather Trump hide the truth so that there aren't riots in the streets. I voted for oder, not chaos. Only a fool would throw those documents into the street. I want America to stay sane. I want to go to Mars. I don't want it to crash out over some dead pedophile.

Maybe you consider this splitting hairs but if anything the US fed is more comparable to an American court of eunuchs, ostensible public servants who's handling of the day to day management of the levers of power has gradually crept into agency over those levers.
