One hilarious part of the manifesto is when Elliot was 16 and got a free vacation to Tangier with Soumaya, where the drinking age is lower so he got to go out to bars with his step cousin, but despite being a 16 year old American boy getting to drink all he wants, he still cried all the time and whined to his mom over email until she let him come home!

Elliott wasn’t interested in all girls. He wanted a specific type - popular traditionally attractive blondes - which basically excluded the kind of girls he could have got. The type he was after isn’t going to date an unathletic short mute with few friends and no interests outside of WOW.

His mother enabled a lot of his behavior and delusions, even if she stopped short of "marrying a rich dude so I can have a better life." Moving around a lot probably didn't help but his father did literally nothing to help either and cared more about his own ego and career, even Elliot was smart enough to point out to his dad that his documentary idea wasn't going to hold much water in the market. And of course it failed and Peter Rodger took a big hit in the wallet.

Sure, Elliot had a bloated ego not unlike that of an internet forum moderator but this was one of the few times that he was correct and nobody listened to him.

Instead they just threw money and a car and even covered his living expenses to some extent when they had him move out. Which is exactly what you do with your problem child. Push him out of your life and make him someone else's problem.
