The swamp has tried to kill him multiple times.

What is happening here.

Aren't the swamp that Trump talks about and the pedophile ring are two different things? The swamp is the Washington DC political class that are unelected bureaucrats. The ring of pedophiles are a bunch of international business people, heads of state and royalty that got their asses strung up by Western intel agencies and are used to gain concessions from foreign nations.

Can I just say something? I finished season 6 of SG-1, and like... The show still isn't good. Apparently the golden years came and went, but all they had to show for it was the occasional good one-off episode, usually the ones set on Earth rather than in some woods in Canada. I haven't cared about any of the arc stuff, the Asgard are cheesy, none of the Goa'uld have personalities, I feel no connection to the protagonists. It's been six years and Samantha Carter still does nothing but deliver technobabble. Teal'c has been reduced to backup technobabble, but once in awhile he nods his head slowly at someone. O'Neal is likeable, but his schtick of "not understand science and be sarcastic" wore off long ago and there hasn't been much serious character development. The only reason I'm hanging on at this point is because of the Farscape connection later on.

It's interesting that both Miller and Thomas have somewhat similar origin stories on why they are the way they are now.

When being exposed to bullshit, you can shrug and say "It is what it is" or you can put your foot down and take a stand about it. Obviously Miller had a much smaller threshold for it while Thomas had to fully experience Kangzery to understand he wanted none of that.

John Bolton was responsible for deradicalizing Clarence Thomas after Thomas lost his wallet and Bolton returned it. Thomas was shocked that a white man would help a black man like this. He's still a black nationalist but doesn't hate white people.

I don't know about the show as a whole at that point, but at least Ben Browder and Claudia Black have charisma.

It's one of those shows that my wife would watch when it came out so I'd catch some of it, but I never got the appeal. What's the best season?

A lot of Asia is like that. When my parents came to visit me they were amazed at how they can leave their luggage unattended on the luggage rack on the train and everything will still be there afterwards.

A lot of America is like that. Outside of major cities, honesty shops are still a thing and you can expect something you set down to be there when you come back.

The early seasons were a lot of fun. It's MacGyver in space trek. If you really want to get mad, watch Atlantis. They are sooo dumb.

2, 3 and 4 are a great block of TV. 5 is good. Season 7 is fucking great but you can't watch it without a lot of knowledge from earlier seasons because SG-1 is better than most shows at calling back details and characters from four seasons back.
