Parents and elementary school students entering a local church in Swedish Alingsås for an end-of-school-year ceremony last month were met with a sanctuary decorated with Pride flags. Outside, a booth handed out candy—and condoms.

Gunilla Gomér, chair of the local Sweden Democrats and parent, who attended the ceremony, told Christian publication Världen Idag,

At a time when a pastor is not allowed to say a blessing over the children or influence them in a confessional way, it is remarkable that he was given ten minutes of this ceremonial occasion to influence them with Pride ideology.

On X, Gomér said: “The pastor spoke about the rainbow. Not from a Biblical perspective, but in true Pride spirit. Outside the church, Pride items and condoms were handed out to 10-12-year- olds.“

“Pride and the Left have hijacked the Church of Sweden and its mission, in order to influence people in a direction other than the Christian one,” she said.

The Youth Center responsible for the condom booth told state broadcaster SVT it was a coincidence that they were there at the time of the ceremony, and that they usually have “a bowl of condoms” at their booth. But the Youth Center manager could not recall handing out condoms.

Principal Klas Karlsson told Världen Idag he did not feel the Pride content was out of place. “The pastor … talked about the equal value of all people, which I think was both appropriate and in accordance with the school’s governing documents.”

The Church of Sweden—formerly the state church—is a staunch supporter of Pride across the country. During Pride month, many churches, even cathedrals, are filled with Pride materials and flags.

Syrian-born theologian Gabriel Külen, a member of the Syriac Orthodox Church, reacted to the secularization of the Church of Sweden in an interview with Samnytt.

[T]hey have changed the church and Christ according to man’s desires. … Therefore, they have failed to carry forward the gospel, which is the whole foundation of the church’s life and faith on earth.

[M]y question to pastors in the Church of Sweden today, to the Church of Sweden in general, is, who is your God? Because I think they themselves no longer know who their God is. … I would probably say that Pride has become the new God of Sweden or Swedish society.

“When you in the house of God, together with the school, teach the children that this is normal, this is what is right, it is a form of indoctrination,” he said.

A female vicar in the Alingsås church defended the presence of Pride flags in the sanctuary to Samnytt, saying it was a way to “show solidarity,” and said the pastor at the ceremony only explained why the symbols were there.

“I would never urge people to switch churches,” Külen said, “but I would say to them: Who is your God? If Jesus Christ is your God, then you should take a closer look at the Church of Sweden’s beliefs.”

These sort of churches have been very easy for political activists to get into and take over. They burrow in like rats and rot the whole thing from the inside. There are usually old people in the church who keep giving it money and will not leave it no matter how rotten it gets. The same disease visible in that church is visible in alot of the older mainstream protestant churches in the US. The Lutheran ELCA and the Episcopal Church are two examples.

If the usual trends continue, they will eventually be building pagan alters within their churches and literally worshipping deamons. Think that can't happen? See the Lutheran ELCA's herchurch in San Francisco.

Damn! I have seen leftists churches websites but that site takes the cake. Like how unchristian do you have to be when your "church" is categorized as a Unitarian "church".

How I see it is the majority of churches encourages effortless conversions to the Christian. For example you could meet a street preacher, read a Chick Tract, or even watch a Christian program; invite Jesus into your life and, poof!, you're now a Christian. In my opinion I feel Christianity would be better if it was like Orthodox Judaism is restrict the conversion process for the more serious individuals who took the time to immerse themselves into the faith to become a apart of the tribe. Just my two cents.

And then they all wonder why the country has not only been taken over by sand niggers but that even the remaining whites can't officially say the Shehada (the Muslim statement of faith, said to a high ranking special imam to convert-"There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Prophet") fast enough, even single women are doing so and voluntarily wearing Islamic robes. People are getting so fucking sick of pozzed bullshit in their native faith that they would rather be Muslims instead, that's how bad it's gotten.

I wonder if it might be their real goal?
I don't think a person who runs a church who likely got a degree in religious studies is intentionally trying to get less people to attend. I think it's because they've grown up perceiving religious devotion with bigotry and hatred. So they think that's why less people are going to church and assume more leftism will cause people to see the church as a "safe space". When in reality it just causes them to have no interest in it. The types of people who want to go to church want strong rules and order. And the types of people they are trying to appeal to would never be caught dead in a church.

Either the Bible is literally God-breathed or it's not.

Protestantism is possibly unique among world religions where all you need is the Bible. You can be a pagan who has never met a Christian and read the Bible and become a Christian.

I don't know how people who claim to be Christian leaders can be so cavalier about the Word of God.

And if you don't like what the Bible says about The Gays, maybe you're not a Christian. It's okay to not be a Christian. A lot of people aren't.

But pretending to be a Christian leader while dismissing large chunks of the Bible as bullshit is worse than being a non-Christian, it's being a heretic.

Every priest in scandinavia is now some 60 year old woman who owns a suspicious amount of cats
Literally yes. I'm pretty sure majority of priests in all nordic countries are now women. And I have never seen a female priest who wasn't a woke activist. Literally ALL of the ones I've seen in interviews just talk about globohomo values. None of them become priests to serve God, none of them are serious about religion, it's just another way dumb bitches can be leftist activists. After all if they were serious about their faith they would respect the patriarchal teachings of the Bible and thousands of years of tradition.
