A million times a day I get spammed with these oversexed mango ads shilling imitation Jap porn. The worst one is this one about some faggot vampire named Quinn. Opens on this whore's thigh gap with her braided hair hanging down between it, then he's scanning her with a computer or something and it tells him that he shouldn't drink her blood because it's riddled with STDs. That's fucking gross. I don't want that mental image forced on me when I'm trying to listen to music or autistic Project Zomboid tier list videos. I'd rather hear about what the whiny bitch that always wants to go to Rome instead of the Vikings or Egypt gets up to (and I wanted to strangle him before). I'd much rather hear about how mafia works that my level 1 goon can become a level 100 don. I'm sick of it. Decapitate all gooners and weebs.

But seriously, yeah, YouTube ads are the worst kind of fucking AIDS. The funny part is that their advertising TOS still says that "gambling services" are forbidden and that you should report them, but then they spam Fanduel and a million other gambling services constantly and if you report them it does nothing.

They added the ability to play media with the screen off as a built in feature. You can turn it off and on if you want to though I don't know why you would. A lot of people use YouTube for music (myself included) or podcasts so they likely added this feature for people who do that. You used to be able to play YouTube on the app and turn off the screen and the audio would still play but they stopped doing that with premium/music because they wanted more reasons to incentivize people to pay for it.

Get a mobile browser you can block apps with OP.
 
If OP is like me then he (hopefully) has adblock on his main computers and phone, but he still gets YouTube ads sprayed at him when like he needs to pull up something on his basement TV or whatever.

And yes I know I could chromecast from my phone or something and still have perfect avoidance of YT ads in my life, but I'm just not that efficient of a guy. YT is such a fucking firehose of shitty ads that I still get exposed in the background radiation of my life.
