What a liar. There's literally a past stream where she admits to her voice being fake. The video is posted in her dedicated thread. There is also a difference between faking pitch and faking her way of speaking which she very obviously does.

My reaction I guess is, how would she prove it either way? She's proven she has a wide vocal range, but she's never deviated from that voice in regular streams unless it's for a shitpost or ASMR.

Nowadays with vtubing being bigger, her channel being bigger, and criticism for all of those things a lot more common, she puts up the facade of "um actually this is just how I look and sound IRL too, don't you know petit women exist?" to try and pretend she's not selling, what just a handful of years ago she would have been completely open in saying.

So when things like this come out of her it's less a "clarification" as much as it's just "an attempt to do the bare minimum for plausible deniability because a lot more people now think I and what I do are weird" an attempt to have her crab and eat it too.

The Australia leg of the Hololive Synchronise tour was also tonight: not really surprising that it was fucking excellent, and I have to say all the girls put their best foot forward. I think the surprise for me was Kronii; hearing Souten ni Moyu live was excellent and despite her sarcastic, low-energy stream persona she actually sung to the back of the stadium. I was amazed at the high notes she hit. Nene also did some Nen-english, everyone was going apeshit whenever she said something lmao.
