Troonslop "Retro" Games / Demake games / PS1 Trannies / ULTRAKILL / Y2K trannies - Retro gaming is infected

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Spending 24/7 complaining about soulless slop and then when something actual soulful and high effort comes around still complaining about it only serves to invalidate all your previous complaints.
Despite previous disagreements, oilspill is right, the mapping itself on a pure architectural level looks cool, akin to some of the good stuff from serious sam second encounter weird gravity zones

I don't entirely dismiss something because of a "genetic" argument behind it.

This said, I'm STILL not buying ultrakill.

It probably was, its been out for awhile
An Outcry
Simpsons did it

This isn't gaming troonslop related, but there's just something about newfags trying to ape old school flash animations (with a shitty "MUH HECKIN' NOSTALGIA!! ÖÖÖ" horror blanket on top) and not quite hitting the mark that really twists my jimmies.

The animation's fine I guess but this isn't reminiscent of 2010s flash animating, can't really say how or why beyond "it's too smooth and bouncy".
This is based off a "Lost Episode Creepypasta" written in March 2024 btw. Even won an "award".

Maybe a little MATI but if a game can wreck your cognitive by just having something in a fictional world you probably shouldn't be worrying about playing them. I know some of these types have a way too obvious obsession with therapy but I only see stuff like this as laughable because i know they don't get enjoyment off being challenged they want the thing to validate them. So something being "transphobic" even in the context of a game hurts them like how I guess I am supposed to be effected by racism because it happens irl?

It's just a weird mentality that video games have to coddle and protect people to the point where once again you ask why have it in the thing in the first place if you're going to make it a big deal to sound an alarm for it being there.

True - but also I don't really want them to be ideologically captured just for the sake of ideological propaganda or small cultist autofellatio. It's not like video games are really, really meant for everyone: some don't want to play it, some can't, and going by the recent discourse, some probably shouldn't have played them in the first place.

Are Troonslop 2D JRPGs allowed in this thread?

TL;DR
I found this recommended for my horror JRPG itch and didnt spoil myself on it, ran into the second screenshot less than a minute in and knew it was going to be tranny garbage and uninstalled. I was willing to at least give it a chance with the "they" bullshit but after they drop [DEADNAME] I knew that this game was going to be about some faggot's gay ass struggle

I would seriously love to see at some point a game that's exactly like that but then it does a plot twist that the main character is actually an unreliable narrator and all the struggles are either exaggerated or straight up made up. The main character is actually a terrible person and he started the fight at school he presented to you as an example of being bullied. You could also make a character being a tranny part of the plot twist, treating "not being an actual cute petite porn goth anime girl" as part of the theme about lying to yourself. The game would end with either good ending of getting your stuff together or bad ending with commiting a 40%

Also the 10000+ warnings in the game's description - it's as if they plan these games to be played by mental ward patients with internet access. Are people that scared by virtual gore, swearing and blood nowadays?

This trend is a common Zoomer animator pastime as of now; It's usually not in the realm of creepypasta, but can be equally annoying. 2000's nostalgia bait is popular in general, but in terms of animation Newgrounds are being imitated, poorly - while in model Zoomer fashion, trying to "distance" the "community" from the "contreversial" aspects of old Newgrounds. Basically trying to remove everything that was good about Newgrounds (I never used that website, but the edgy or experimental animations from there were frequently uploaded to Youtube back in the day, that I did watch).
Here's an example of an animation trying to ape... Something from the 2000's? It doesn't look that bad, but it could've been done better.

BUT, back on topic of the thread. This nostalgiafagging is also prevelent in Flash Game imitators. Most recent example is "Lacey's games". Which are supposed to be creepy renditions of typical Teen Girl-themed Flash Games of the previous decade. It's VERY obvious that this isn't flash (What makes it worse is the art style, which looks like something from Tumblr, further dampening the authentecity); The themes in those games are supposed to be fears and traumatic events in a young girl's life, I suppose? They're just portrayed so heavy-handedly that I get lost in interpretation - one of the games is a bout a Pet Shop and it turns into "Scary" photoshopped visual noise at some point.

Video example:
Screencap from the pet shop game (Look this 'sih up on Youtube, it's moreso funny to look at than scary, especially the buildup towards the "Scary" moments):

Generally what a lot of imitators lack is subtly. It's something you can see a lot of in this very thread where the main gimmick that is supposed to be scary is thrown at the player to the point it can't leave any lasting impact. It's why it comes off as silly because it sort of reminds me of mascot horror more specifically FNAF imitators that love the look and aesthetic of the series and only copy the surface.

I know so little of Joker's character aside from the surface level understanding of him and even I feel Joker of all people would care less if he worked for a Nazi. Even stranger for him of all villains to call the dude a 'creep'. Pot heavily calling the kettle black. I don't think standards of bigotry would be his priority.
I don't think it would be wrong to interpret the panel as the Joker deciding to do something funny (to him) and unpredictable, and in other circumstances might also choose to side with Nazis if that's the funniest option at the time.

In fear of this ageing horribly, while your complaints about the artstyle are not wrong, at least this does look like something a real woman made instead of a troon.

Exactly. They shove the "scary" moments in your face without buildup.

We will see when the time comes.
