With the Marines at Tarawa is a rare example of uncensored WW2 combat footage. President Roosevelt had to approve it personally to bypass the usual censorship restrictions.

The intense close combat in the Pacific (and bravery of the cameraman) meant that it's some of the only WW2 footage that was equivalent to a soldier's POV.

The Alawites are considered heretics in Islam, their religious beliefs aren't purely Islamic. Like I think they believe in reincarnation and they take communion. They've added more Shia style bits and pieces to their doctrine, since the Sunni hate them and Hezbollah and other Shia groups were willing to work with them.

The engine was likely idling, so it didn't have the power to really grind the dude into paste. When he hit it just jammed instantly.

If the plane was taking off and he ran then you would have seen a complete shredding.

Must've been idling at very low power, just enough to tick over without having to be restarted. I've seen the aftermath of people who got sucked into jet engines before, and the aftermath generally involves a cloud of gore that finely coats a couple hundred square meters of tarmac.

Man runs, and trips on a fallen power line and gets electrocuted to death - Jalaun, India (2025.06.30)

On Monday evening, a young man was hit by a high tension line which broke and fell near Babu Palace on Nadigaon Road in Konch Kotwali area of Jalaun.

Due to which he died. Now a live video of this incident has also surfaced. This entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed near the incident spot which is now going viral on social media. The video shows how a normal day suddenly turned into a horrific accident.

The deceased known as Anoop Gurjar, son of Ramlala Gurjar, a resident of Amargarh in Jalaun, was living on rent near Babu Palace in Konch with his family for the last one year. He came here with the aim of providing better education to his children. At the time of the incident, Anoop was standing at a roadside stall selling Pani Puri and eating Pani Puri, when suddenly the high tension wire broke and fell on him.

Anoop got badly burnt as soon as he came in contact with the high tension wire, not only this, the entire incident was captured in the CCTV installed nearby, in which there was a lot of screaming on the spot when the wire broke and other people present nearby ran away from there to save their lives. But Anoop could not be saved and he died a painful death on the spot. The electricity supply was on during the accident, due to which he immediately got engulfed in flames. After the incident, a huge crowd gathered at the spot and people were very angry with the electricity department.

Local citizens allege that this accident happened due to the negligence of the electricity department. People say that the electricity lines in the area are in a dilapidated condition and despite several complaints, no concrete action has been taken.

Anoop's death has once again exposed the poor electricity system and the negligence of the government machinery. Now it remains to be seen what action is taken against the responsible officials after this incident.


Brazilian man shoots up a consulate, injuring a lawyer, and then shoots himself in the mouth shortly after the shooting - Ciudad del Este, Paraguay (2025.07.03)


A Brazilian man arrived at the Brazilian Consulate General in Ciudad del Este and began firing several shots from the main entrance. One of the bullets hit the arm of a lawyer who was present.

According to reports, a man identified as Cássio Mussawer Montenegro stormed the Brazilian Consulate General in Ciudad del Este carrying a .357 caliber revolver and fired several shots from the consulate entrance, apparently after shouting " We're all going to die here!" During the attack, a consulate official was injured, apparently collaterally.

The victim, identified as Cousin Felicia Benítez de Cantuni (78 ) , was immediately transferred to the Tesãi Foundation Hospital in Area 2, where she was admitted.

The attacker, in turn, shot himself after the incident and was taken to a medical center in critical condition.

The National Police is investigating the background of the attack.

A man identified as Mauro Sérgio de Souza, 49, was stabbed to death in the neck during an argument in front of an ice cream shop on Sunday night (6).

Police officials stated that a crocodile was spotted near the location in the water where the incident occurred. The divers and the deceased's friends had a narrow escape, as the crocodile came dangerously close. Police officials maintained that there are many crocodiles in the Kaliasot Dam reservoir, yet people risk their lives just to take a dip in the water or for fishing.

Investigation officer SI OP Raghuvanshi said that the deceased, Venkatesh Vishal Naidu, 32, a resident of Premiere Orchard Colony behind a medical college in the Karond area, earlier worked in France as a chemical scientist. He returned to Bhopal and was presently working as a data analyst in an MNC on a work-from-home basis. His father retired from the geological department. Venkatesh resided here with his parents, while his sister is married and resides in Dubai.

SI Raghuvanshi said that on Tuesday morning, Venkatesh, along with his three friends, including Mohammed Kashiv alias Ahmed, Nishant Sharma, and Ritik Sharma, went to the Kaliasot Dam area for an outing. They frequently visited the area for partying and outings. Around 9 am, Venkatesh and his friends decided to take a dip in the dam reservoir.

SI Raghuvanshi said that Venkatesh knew swimming and was enjoying the water. The friends were clicking photos and videos. Venkatesh dived into the water and was swimming towards his friend when he suddenly started drowning. Probably, he was exhausted. His friend, who was posing for a photograph, tried to rescue him after being informed about it by another friend who was clicking the photograph, but Venkatesh slipped into deep water.

Acting on information, police reached the spot and fished out the body with the help of divers, but he was dead by then. A case was registered, and further investigations are ongoing.

When youtube was still a wild wasteland,I accidentally stumble upon a ww2 footage of US soldiers shooting a Japanese corpse with a M1911.
It was the first graphic footage ive ever seen and it engraved in my mind.Which is the reason why I ask the question originally.

I can only imagine at what industrial waste, dumped carelessly into local water sources, could cause fatal heart attacks in small children. India is truly a magical place. Super power 2030!
