I'm more so worried about Trump backing down on other things he ran on along with backing down on the Epstein situation. Backing down on staying out of the Ukraine war and letting them "fight it out" as Trump said before, talking about amnesty for illegals (this is a grey area but it's against what Trump said previously and people are pissed about it regardless), continuing to fund Moderna "spikevax" vaccines for children, promoting neocons, not to mention a lot of the right has started co-opting identity politics to defend these things that could hurt Trump. It really isn't just the Epstein shit that people are upset about.

Trump and people like Bongino made SUCH A FUCKING PRODUCTION about accusing the Biden admin of hiding things, and used uncovering all of Biden's malfeasance as a major campaign point. Hell, half this board was rabid about Biden hiding the Epstein files and accused Biden himself of fucking kids on the island almost non stop. So many people were absolutely convinced that a second Trump admin would FINALLY see the files released, and Biden and Co in handcuffs because of it.

I understand your point. I really do. America doesn't have that though and never will. America has presidents. At times when required they act like kings. At other times they merely occupy the seat. The position is rather flexible in that sense, that it has tremendous power, but it takes someone with vision to truly realize it.
The only way he comes back at all in ANY capacity is to walk away from the role, slide right back into his podcast, and tell his rabid libertarian 20's something fans who are burning his merch right now how fucked the federal government really is now that he's seen it from the inside. The craziest thing about Epstein is just how much of what people "know" about Epstein and the actual evidence we have about what he was up to, from the court cases, is nothing more than speculation. What we know, from the trials, is that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked about 150 underage teenage girls and the only person that was confirmed to have had sex with them was Epstein himself. The only one of the girls that alleged third-party trafficking was Virginia Giuffre and she's unreliable, having changed her story before, remember when she accused Dersh of having fucked her and then retracted that once he threatened legal action by claiming she was mistaken? That's it. That he belonged to intel? Third-party hearsay. All the tapes? He had an extensive porn collection that includes underaged girls I would assume, we don't know it's even blackmail because Bondi didn't leak that. The vast majority of what people "know" about Epstein is pure speculation, but you've got a lot of influencers who stand to lose out, which is a problem on the Right. A lot of our influencers only know how to lose and profit off that, winning ruins their business model.
Not only has this completely ruined Trump, it has also killed any chance of populist ideas and agendas ever making it anywhere in politics ever again. As I said earlier, anyone trying to run a platform similar to Trump's in the future will now inevitably be rendered unelectable by association to Trump and the Epstein scandal.
