cooper swings wildly depending on what he's reading or who he's talking to at the moment.
on several occasions, and throughout his series on Israel/Palestine, he often comes to the conclusion that while the whole region is beyond fucked, Israel probably has the right of it.

honestly his best stuff was the jim jones series as it was less about jones and more about the insane left wing politics self ratcheting itself from nonviolence (MLK) to pipe bombs (Weather Undergound) over the course of the 60s.
He uses this as a mirror to illustrate jones was merely a reflection and application of the leftism preached by his fellow travelers.

his current take on the immigration is insane and nonsensical.
His whole schtick is approaching everything from angles that are rarely looked at but the "they're just humble fruit pickers doing jobs lazy americans wont do"
is so comically cliche and played out I'm disgusted he'd even entertain it.

I was talking to some friends about this the other day, and I had a novel idea. We allow the brown people in to do absolutely awful jobs for very low wages, which they would do, because it is still more than they would make in Mexico, and America is safer and better, however, here's the kicker: the browns are capped at receiving 40% of what the average wage for that job is, and the employer is required to pay 50% of the average wage into a welfare fund to subsidize the white working and middle class.

For instance, let's say some cotton picker would make $10/hr on average (I'm using round numbers for emphasis, not for realism), the browns would be capped at $4/hr, but the employee would be required to pay $5/hr equivalent into the "White Renaissance Fund," which is then used to improve the lives of white Americans directly. Everyone wins. Naturally, the browns would also be banned from owning property, receiving health care, having children, voting, going to school, and speaking Spanish.

I basically define the political spectrum as a triangle, Leftist beliefs always collapse towards statist conformity, the Right? If the Left believes the State is King, the Right believes the King is the State, but there's huge disagreement over who, exactly, get to be king and how many. Or, for the autists, the Left concentrates Political power in the State, the Right concentrates political power in people or a person, and the number of people and just how much power is what we fight over. It's like Classical Greek city-states in here, we fight all the time, but God help you if you bring your weak ass Leftist shit into our fight. We will Fucking Kill You just to go back to fighting with each other.
