What’s a basic skill that still shocks you when adults don’t know how to do it?
Just some amusing stuff I found on Askreddit. Some apply to some of the big subreddits.
Spacial awareness and etiquette in public spaces. 100% of the time people gather in walkways forcing anyone using the walkways / entryways (entryways always at bars or parties - the bar could be empty while the entryway is impassible) to walk around them. That, or they stop walking right in front of you as well not checking (as they would/should if they were in a car) to look to see if someone is coming before crossing pathways. It’s so simple and yet it seems as if it’s flat out impossible for people to acknowledge.
Self reflection, being able to grow.
Critical thinking. Too many people just taking information that is spoon-fed to them and accepting it as fact. Take 30 seconds and think things through.
Cooking. People treat the ability of cooking as some amazing skill that few have, but cooking for yourself is one of the most basic tools you should have to be able to keep yourself alive.
Have a quick confrontational conversation that will take less than 5 minutes and prevent a lifetime of misunderstandings and awkwardness.
Simple finances. Not about investing or interest rates or that. But basically...yes you can afford this..no you cannot afford this...yes if you get this on sale, you save money...yes, if you cut out a Starbucks a day, you save money...if you pay off your credit card, you will have more money after
Simple grammar.

You’re vs. your.

To, two, too.

Saw vs. seen

Have vs. of

"Height/Build: Prefer not to answer" Is a lot words "obese"
I imagine it's likely she might just have self image issues (if not evident from everything else she wrote down) and she doesn't even look that bad, but the fact she refused to put down anything at all really does make one assume the worst. Terrible dating profile.

The Tiananmen Square "Tank man" picture is powerful because of the message it holds. It's an easy one to get too.

The man looks like your average working man getting by on his day, and there are 4 tanks coming for him. In addition, the height, angle, and distance the photo was taken from emphasize how powerless the man is. All that tanks that are coming his way put into prespective how hopeless of a circumstance he is in. It may be ridiculous to break it down in this childish way but that shows how easy such a harrowing message could be gotten.

This is an un-recreateable image. Once in a lifetime.

Here...what is there for anyone to empathize with or understand? Some fat bitch standing in front a military truck? Yawn. The only context there is is about "protesting" ICE. Guess what? ICE is something that your average Joe is more inclined to support, unlike your "Tiananmen Square MASSACRE". "Protesting" ICE would only relate your other fat, libtarded redditors.

Besides that, the photos have no depth to them. There's no grand scale battle that can't be fought for you to see. It's shit I can recreate with a regular ol' car.

On one hand there are probably very few ways to describe what you do in a neutral way when you're involved in stuff like that, but this just feels odious.
