My thoughts on the Epstein List (which does exist, btw):
I don't think it ever existed, not in the way people assume. Yes, people sometimes leave a paper trail incriminating themselves and their co-conspirators. However it's a really really stupid thing to do, and the assumption that it's real is a pretty big one. Probably the closest we'll every get is his black book of contacts, that will have innocent and guilty people. He was a bit of a star fucker, so anyone on the list is suspicious but it's far from damning. The flight logs and visits to the island lists are more damning. He hosted parties, but in all reality they probably weren't massive eyes wide shut criminal events, so there is reasonable doubt even for those.

What if the list was never real to begin with?
The intelligence agencies have straight up believed in lies and made up shit beforehand (sometimes making up said shit themselves) and to help create a narrative, often with the intent of creating a satisfying conclusion. A customer list would be a neat bow to tie on the Epstein story as it means everyone involved can be pursued, but so far the only major figure implicated was been Prince Andrew and he was more taken down by someone speaking out, but so far no one else has really done.

What if Epstein claimed the existence of a list but possessed no physical copy of said list, and was in fact just a list of names he was willing to give up to save his own skin? Or what if the flight logs were the list he meant and we've been stuck in a miscommunication loop for the past 6 or 7 years?
However, to claim the existence of a "list" means that there are parties and individuals more guilty than those in the flight logs so the names in the flight logs are semi-absolved, when in reality the flight logs is all we in fact have and we should in fact me looking with far more scrutiny the names we do know rather than a hypothetical laundry list of paedophile elites that may or may not actually exist?
This is the first I'm hearing of Epstein claiming to have dirt to turn over, it's such a monumental revelation that I assume it's completely fake, but will be interested if you have a source.

Pizzagate was on the right trail(more the Podesta emails than the actual restaurant) and all everyone talked about since is some guy who had been out of the business for a decade when it was allowed to be talked about.
Epstein, 20 years ago, Diddy, 10. Who's doing it now? No ones looking because you're being jewed into killing your own power because of information that doesn't exsist and probably never did.
