It would not surprise me if he actually did nothing wrong initially. In my experience it's not uncommon to see a DOA motherboard. But as soon as memtest gave him good results and then the WiFi started bugging out, he should have immediately realized the motherboard was toast and sent it in for RMA.

Why does trhe troon use airduster on a new motherboard?
I didnt watch the video and I dont think i would like to, but did he say that it was used for motherboard? I expect air dusters being used on old pc parts or a dusty PC case\inside etc.

But you are right, an air duster has no use for new parts.

Check the image. He filmed the first CPU removal and then hit the socket with air duster. That circled bit flies out of the socket when he sprays it. Assuming that isn't an entire pin(it's hard to tell) it may have just been something in the socket that was shorting CPU pins which would explain the behavior. I assume his stupid ass smashed a few dozen pins in the socket when reinstalling the CPU after that. If it wasn't from the factory, considering this retard is dumb enough to re-socket a CPU hunched under a fucking desk, and he's a filthy long haired greasy weirdo anyway, that's probably what did it. The fact that he even thinks he needs air duster when doing anything with a CPU shows he knows he's a filthy fucking golem that can't keep the socket clean for the 5-10 seconds the latch is open(for a normal human) before he sets the CPU on it.
Doesnt he know that LGA sockets are fragile? That's why motherboards come with socket cover to use it in case of RMA or people ship second hand\old lga motherboards with cheap cpus? Packaging with styrofoam is not enough to prevent damage of the pins caused by the vibration during handling\shipping.

This troon reminds me of that nigger from the Verge PC building tutorial video, where he tossed the socket cover saying it has no need anymore.

His excuse was that his house was dusty and it could have gotten on the CPU pins and caused the issue. And while that is possible, he is a retard for immediately suspecting that of all things.

If only he worked on a youtube channel devoted to "techntips", Guess there were no tips given.

HCL is, in my experience, not a hard rule, so much as "We tried these and can vouch that our samples worked." As long as you're not putting ECC RAM on a board and chip that don't support ECC, you're generally (I'd say >99% of the time) going to be fine, even if you're like me and buy sub-$100 Asus boards exclusively. Didn't even have trouble with non-HCL RAM on first-gen Ryzen, myself, and that generation was supposedly the worst so far about that.

IDK, though, I chose Charisma as my dump stat, not Luck, so I'm perhaps not the best metric.

My experience especially with Asus is that you should really select escpeically a memory module from the HCL list.

Atleast Gigabyte have a huge selection of rams so there is no risk that you pay more for a memory from the HCL-list. There are only advantages and no disadvantage in using the HCL list.

His spraying of air reminds of a techpriest in warhammer praying and making rituals to the spirits in the machine.

Looks like I was right, 5 day upload gap into another linus house video. This time Their sponsor is selling a >$1,000 couch.

New Anthony video has dropped.

I have seen people in this thread complaining about Linus underpaying his employes. If anything Anthony proves if he was paying them a cent more then minimum wage then he is grossly overpaying them. This ogre has spent 7 fucking years in LTT yet he is unable to build a pc that works. If he mucks up his own shit this bad Imagine how much of a shit show it was when dealing with company computers.

This new video was horrible both in content but also optics. You’re the fag who wanted a smart home and boo hoo now you have stupid things everywhere like not being able to close the garage door because the car can’t sync to WiFi/cellphone data? Awww the home theater electronics are a pain to sync up to the receiver and he can’t get voice chat going for some knockoff NHL 94 game, my monocle has fallen. Everything is just 1%er hardships, and to then have the sponsor be one step above inflatable furniture like on that Always Sunny episode and I’m supposed tot think this guy is pro consumer? Let the poojeets fill your streets with shit.

a >$1,000 couch.

These are absolutely god-awful looking sectionals (rovelab.com), and the model of mail-order dense memory foam furniture/mattresses is honestly kinda sad, but is the result of the furniture/upholstery industry racing to the bottom.

It's not even that $1000 is a lot to spend on a couch or anything, it's that the quality of everything has gone to absolute shit. These will have a lifespan of 2-3 years and be uncomfortable the entire time, but your alternative is other mail-order memory foam cubes or playing the Wayfair chinese shitscam lottery. It's not until you're paying insane markups in the $5K+ range where you can anticipate not just getting low-quality Chinese rebadges, and even then you're usually limited by availability/options.

The rare few exceptions struggle to not be outclassed by SEO, not helped by the sea of influencers and shills like Linus aggressively promoting crap brands at scale.

I'd say "Option C: You drive to Big Lots and get something there" but uh... lol, lmao, the incompetent boomer mindset of "Why plan for the future if we could all die in a nuclear war tomorrow?" very thoroughly killed that option. Damn shame, too, since Broyhill and Ashley were pretty well the last two good American manufacturers to have survived the Chinese state-sponsored genocide of our furniture industry, and Big Lots owns one outright (and it's their only asset that's actually worth a goddamn even after the company watered the name down) and has been THE thing keeping the other above water for the past decade and change. Even then, the fast fashion-esque race to the bottom knocked both down from being "makers of stuff that will outlast you and your entire bloodline" to "makers of stuff that'll at least last you an entire Presidency".

What was this thread about again? Oh, right, uh... Linus is a retard who doesn't even know what a comfortable couch feels like.

It looks ok to me (texture/aspect wise), but I feel these are flawed. The seats are too low for comfortable seating. I went to check out the products and they claim:
  • Minimalist Design With a Low-Set Profile
  • Pillow Included For Each Armrest Piece
  • Upholstered in Vegan Performance Weave
  • 100% Vegan SmartFoam Technology
  • Oeko-Tex® Certified & Spill-Proof Fabric
  • Easy Zip Modular Connector
  • Anti-Slip Pad & Dust Cover
  • Easy Carry Sofa Box
  • Lifetime Warranty
Nothing about comfort or durability is mentioned here. Only about muh vegan and minimalism.
And what's the catch with Lifetime Warranty? I doubt they are willing to replace these if the sofas last only a few years.

Minimalist Design With a Low-Set Profile
Translation from corpobabble, it's extremely cost-engineered because making anything more complex and aesthetically pleasing than anuntextured low-poly PS1 couch that you'd only see as a prop well outside the playable area would eat into their profit margins.

There aren't that many couches nowadays under that price, especially now that the Chinese no longer have to compete and have been able to jack up their prices on all the dogshit furniture they keep shipping over.
Yeah, but at least you can test a couch out before buying it. Paying more than a grand for a couch and it turns out to be trash, then what?

Genuinely, it's getting to the point where you're almost better served going to a local carpenter and having them frame out a couch then upholstering it yourself.
