Admittedly, because I had autism, I happen to have sensory issues regarding my ears (mostly my right one but sometimes my left). When I was young, whenever I perceive my ear as "abnormal", I would often smack my ears along with causing a tantrum. This has caused many ear infections over the years sometimes with very massive discharges. Admittedly, I wasn't used to most of this until recently. Unlike nowadays where I can get over the ears popping, back then, it was hell for me. The screaming I would emit would be comparable to that of a banshee. This has led to many eardrum perforations and many hospital visits trying to figure out what it was including that one time I spent a few days at a hospital in 2018. I honestly wished I never abused that ear over a sound that means nothing to a normal person and is just the ear doing it's thing. My father noticed how concerned he was when he could fit his entire finger in his ear. Admittedly I had chronic ear infection that lasted for months, but I managed to get use to it from time.
However, as much as I overcame dealing with sounds in my ears and dealing with it properly by leaving my ears alone. There is a form of tinnitus that drives me insane, It feels like something is tugging inside my ear or if my ear is being drilled inside and I absolutely hate it with a billion suns. It makes me feel sick and it is the most annoying thing I had to deal with. The first I can recall noticing it was in spring of 2022, however, I've had doses of medication during the early half of 2023 that made my ears flutter violently, it has driven me insane to the point that when I found out that was part side effects of the medication. I quit the medication cold turkey though thankfully the withdrawal despite 7 pills I took didn't do much damage to me, but this was shortly before I had a 2 week trip to Japan which the last few days I was in Japan I felt like doing nothing. Unfortunately, from time to time, this insufferable form of tinnitus still persists and it still drives me insane to this day and I cannot get used to it. It feels so uncomfortable, it drives me insane.
I was hoping since 2023, I would live a long life wanting to discover myself even with the online harassment however, with my anger towards this tinnitus and when it happens more commonly makes me go into a frenzy. I would risk perforating my eardrum again just to get this thing to stop. I would risk another chronic ear infection no matter how much the discharge. It's clear to me now that the online harassment I receive is nothing to annoy me as much as this form of tinnitus does. When I start to scream is a bad sign. I felt unmotivated again, wanting to live less. This along with the cracking on the back of my head drives me insane.
