It's pretty pathetic that he still uses his fictional character's Twitter account for extra reach, even though said character's show will never see the light of day. Dude must be desperate for attention - 16k supposed followers and his tweets even struggle to reach 50 combined likes and retweets. Maybe he needs more socks.
I remember when I first heard about this show. Then nothing. I assumed it was never coming out. And I still assume it's never coming out. In 2020 he'll be telling people it will be out in 2025.
Based on the trailer it looks like it has some of the most unrelatable and unlikable stereotypes ever. Hooked on prescription pills? That's supposed to be a comedy quirk? You'd think tumblr would be offended by that since so many of them fake chronic illnesses.

So if the show actually gets released then and every snowflake has moved onto whatever fad comes next the failure is going to be pretty hard. Especially considering how long this stupid thing has been in development hell. Hayden missed the best opportunity to strike while the iron was hot. But eventually a trans main character won't be interesting anymore. It just won't have the same success factor. Plus tumblr tears down everything it loves eventually anyway. Just look at Steven Universe.

tumblr was never really behind this show either. The vast majority saw what it was from the beginning: a cash scam hiding behind a thin veil of "progressiveness".

On another note since I'm autistic enough for this to bug me, why does Hayden even call this show "Gen Zed" when it's blatantly based on millennials and pop culture during the 2010s? It'd be like calling your show "Gen X" and instead have it take place in the 1950s.
