Every order I have made on walmart the last few years pre-order or otherwise mysteriously goes missing or gets cancelled if scalpers want it. Went through the nightmare ringer months ago with the most autismo thing of all: a sonic figure of a character relegated to gamegear spinoffs for most of the game series existence. Because walmart said they had it in stock, but every time I'd order one, it'd put my thing in "temporary hold" for a week beyond the ship date, say it was delayed, and then say cancelled, out of stock. ONLY TO POP BACK IN STOCK A MINUTE LATER. IT DID THIS SHIT FOUR TIMES AND THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK TILL LIKE A MONTH LATER, EVEN IF IT WAS LIKE SEVERAL INSTANCES OF FOUR FUCKING DOLLARS.

That's not even touching the gi joe exclusives... RIP my shot of ever getting the "walmart exclusive red laser".
I'm betting there's a scalper storage unit hoard somewhere squatting on the velocitron hot rods that never made it to shelves hoping to scalp them in the future as "rare unreleased/cancelled!"

Every time I get a transformer it has to be in person if it's one that's scalper fodder online, and if there's a price scanner it always scans up as "out of stock" evenif there's shelves full of them when i'm there. They're usually gone a day or a few hours later if I have to go back to a store for anything.

Given that the other 4 Cybertron anniversary figures got canceled, I wonder if Walmart just canceled the release of Excellion/Sideways at the last minute.
that cancelled stock is going somewhere likely. I'm genuinely going a little schizo over the last few years of convenient cancellations of high demand figures.

EDIT FOR CONTEXT: My reasoning for that is remembering the old cases of last minute cancelled exclusive figures usually showed up at weird places like sears or ross pre-rona world. A TON of gi joe movie and 25th figures as well as some transformers ones back in the day had that happen. Now it seems they just only show up in ross or ollies if they got overstock and that's the only thing that sells at the toy sections of those places lmao.

Also my post wasn't long!

What happens is Ross/other discount stores buy stock that Walmart/Target liquidate, it's how the Walmart Retro G1 figures end up at Ross in massive quantities.

I never see those retro g1 figures at ross by me, only ollies. And I blink and they're gone, replaced by more 2.99 wakanda forever and shang chi movie figures. I'd likely get them if they were actually cheap enough for me to justify it/fit into my spending budget. The transformers, specifically. not the other things lmao.

In my area a handful of people buy up all the Transformers at Ross and try to resell them for close to retail, the only things they don't buy are those crappy, overpriced Reaction figures.

Cyberworld seems alright, like something my cousins children would like. I aint really gonna watch it because its leagues away from media a grown man should be watching for himself.

I also shouldnt buy toys but, eh, whateva.
It's way too kiddy for me, but I'm fine with that. Shows like these are what make a whole new generation of fans.

My nieces and nephews love it already. I can live with it playing in the background. If there's no gay shit, I'm content. I know, low bar but that's where we're at as a society.

Iron Wariorr Bee came--so IW Prime has movable individual fingers but the bug dosen't. Makes no sense. My TFP panini magazine is late as fuck.

I only order from Walmart if its an exclusive. Because they've done that to me, too.
These are the exclusives for this summer, it seems like Sideways & Excellion were underproduced.

EDIT: I'm not looking forward to how much of a mess getting the deluxe Seaspray coming out later this year at Walmart is going to be.
