Beth, Court Clerk: "The only thing that happens today is him and his attorney, or maybe just his attorney meet with the prosecutor to negotiate and see if they can resolve it. If they cannot resolve it, it is set for a future hearing before a Judge".

I have reiterated my request, stating Nick is a public figure and all proceedings is of interest.
I haven't received a response yet. Thanks for posting this.

Edit: Clerk: Whoever wants to observe the Rekieta hearing--per what I can see in zoom, he is currently meeting with his attorney, which is not something you can join. There will not actually be a hearing today. His attorney can meet with the prosecutor and see if they can resolve it or not. That is all that will happen. If not resolved, will be set for actual hearing before a judge.

:lossmanjack:

Moving every case to private Zoom in order to shield Nick Rekieta from the consequences of his retardation is exactly what I’d expect from corrupt Kandiyohi County.

EDIT: My bad, this is Stearns County (thanks, @Dixieland Buckaroo). So this bullshit isn’t exclusive to KC.

Rule 8 of the Minnesota Rules of Criminal Procedure and Rule 4 of the Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch strongly favor public proceedings. Under these, even remote access must preserve transparency.

This is Stearns County but the point remains.

And Rekieta briefly turned on his cam and mic and said "Adios, my fellow criminals"

“My critics are also criminals like me” is a whole new level of delusional cope.

With Nick slurring his words, it sounds like he knows his PO is out of the office on vacation.

This conversation is hilarious. They left b/c I’m there. Saying it was a private but what are they suppose to do?? Like the court didn’t prevent me from joining the breakout room. And didn’t the court order them. This is sooo strange. Wish I could have record it.

Can you please elaborate on what exactly happened?
