Epstein this, client list that. The news cycle sure is chugging along today. But I keep hearing that ICE has killed 13 immigrants—"such a tragedy," "need more oversight," "law enforcement must stop enforcing the law..." etc. But all I could think is "Why isn't that number higher?"
I'm just saying that 13 sounds like a very normal number for people killed by a federal agency since January 20th, if not moreso for a full fiscal year. My ears wouldn't even twitch upon hearing that the Forest Service has killed a dozen people, or that the Geological Survery takes some attrition or causes some casualties. And God only knows how many people the IRS kills come every April.
With numbers like 13 coming out of Trump's personally loyal 18-25 white male video game playing Gestapo militia, I'm very concerned that the administration is falling behind its policy goals.
