Can't edit my previous post anymore but thought this was worth sharing
Dokibird's playing Storage Hunter Simulator but before she started, she talked about how she got a call from her old apartment's office over a delivery that was sent to them in her name. So she shows up, not knowing what it was from cause she hadn't ordered anything & it wasn't marked where it came from. She opened it in the office & found out someone went on her throne & mailed her anonymously a lingerie through some option to buy a person whatever instead of the things listed. Her & the chat took it pretty well & laughed it off.

I assumed it was given based on interviews. For example, Fauna's VA couldn't have possibly been a better fit to the point I'd be surprised it wasn't specifically designed for her.

Its pretty clear that thats what they do, as long as some talent scouting to. A lot of these vtubers had online careers before they got picked up by hololive or any other group. Like Kiara and her cosplaying career or mori and her dogshit but semi popular theater kid rap career. So I wouldn't be surprised if some of them where scouted out to and given an offer.

Pekora to my knowledge was scouted out when she was 0110110 back in the day (also having known Miko too). Same goes for the likes of Watame who was previously recording herself dancing in animal onesies and gaming.

its a shame that Holo doesnt really do model swaps for gags dont they? besides offcollabs where they switch the stream phones
i want to see a random week where Calli and Kiara just never announce it and they swap models, and they just act as if they've played the characters from the start, since iirc, Kiara once said she could've had Calli's model/character and vice versa

It would have been funny if during their tenure in Hololive, Mumei and Gura swapped models for a few streams just to see if anyone would notice.

They did a bit for April Fool's 2022 where IRyS and Council swapped models. And then there was that bizarre time when Kronii used Axel's model.
