Y'know it was brought up at the time but sort of got brushed aside. Are texts like this not proof that "We were always going to snake DSP!" was total bullshit all along? Warski is writing a novel to Phil at 4 in the morning about how it's nawt truuuuu when people are calling him a pedo, giving him a detailed list of citations to refute it, all in service of some master plan to turn on him a few months later anyway?
To turn away from The Warski files for a second, is turning into yet another DSP alog platform that much more entertaining than what they were doing before? Even if it was cynical and kind of mean-spirited to keep Phil as a wack-pack type "friend of the show" to clown on, it's better than just watching him for hours on end going "wow isn't his content so boring? Isn't it pathetic how he begs for donos? Let's get some subs to continue the Phil segment!"
The Phil arc was pretty transparent from the beginning. It was never a "We have to snake this guy no matter what, I will lay down my life to snake him." It was also not a full fledged attempt to side with Phil and become Phil's underlings.
It was a troll against RTU and a fun excursion and surreal moment when Phil actually showed up excited in their chat. At that moment PPP probably had a modicum of respect for Phil, the same way he respects Shoenice or Hollywood God, not as a person but as a known quantity in internet history.
I'm sure he was hyped for the first interview, and had no real plans to snake Phil at that point because nobody had any idea just how desperate Phil really was for companionship. Nobody could have predicted that Phil would be hanging out in chat every show and constantly in PPPs dms. I doubt they "wanted" to snake Phil until multiple months into the DSP experience when his whining, attention seeking behavior, combined with the unwillingness to do anything fun wore down on them until they just wanted to cut the anchor.
They wanted at first to hold Phil up, get a few quick dunks on RTU and Doody and whoever else, maybe get a hard hitting interview with Jim or Null, and ride him off into the sunset to possibly collab once a year or so together. Fortunately they quickly found out that he's actually even more unhinged off camera than he is on camera.
The more humorous part of all this is that if Phil actually played his cards right and came up with a more coherent cope, PPP would've looked like the biggest dent in years. Having Asston fund your all expense paid honeymoon, fucking your wife on a bed your 400 pound Canadian paypig bought for you is a chad move no matter how you slice it, but Phil tackled it in the most retarded way possible, as his nature demanded.
Also Warski tried to have sex with a minor, what the fuck.
