Like you said, it's wild that the fat boy came out on top. I saw a semi-recent video they did with Paymoneywubby, who funnily enough was accused of copying idubbbz when he first started out. I think Dane is just an autistic guy who’s blindly supporting his friend because he isn’t able to see the massive red flags with Ian. That’s the biggest reason why he’s been the only consistent supporter of Ian since the pre-Anissa days.

The longer this has gone on has made me find their relationship with Dane strangely fascinating. I have a feeling they genuinely like him and don't just see him as a way to farm clout which is exceptionally rare for Anisa and Ian.

In all honesty their relationship with Dane strikes me as an agreeable, low-maintenance, low-friction type of friendship. He's the kind of guy they can ghost for months because "they've been busy with life" and he would go "Oh fine. No biggie."

Dane is willing to help them out with the podcast because he might not have anything better to do, so he might as well just shoot the shit for a couple hours with his friends for some chump change. He isn't really committed though, as in he doesn't see himself as part of the Maximum Damage "crew", because as it has been pointed out, he doesn't really promote his content on the pod nor does he promote the podcast on his channel.

I would say they're all friendly acquaintances rather than true friends, because as far as I know they don't really hang out with him IRL and he's never required or invited to any of the Jomhas main projects. He knows his place as a sidekick, playing support for the Jomhas and not a main character in their storyline, and he's fine with it as long as he doesn't catches any strays. I think it's a bit sad because if these two retards weren't such attention whores and committed themselves to their friendship with Dane, they could've become The Three Amigos, making inoffensive podcasts about things they bond over and having IRL adventures out in Seattle (I think they all lived near each other at one point but not sure). Their overly inflated egos makes them think that they're too good for that, that they deserve to be on top with the popular kids and the not-so-popular kids should just be grateful that they even speak to them. Tragic but really, they deserve to be friendless forever.
