For me it was the TruthSeekers interview cause it had a different vibe than the SideScrollers interview cause they started off as cordial while Steve did not and it was an actual interrogation style interview rather. Granted I still liked the SideScrollers interview cause without it this Kino Arc would have never happened but their was a lot about the TruthSeekers interview that just hit differently

I'm a Kino Casino fag so I am new to in depth laughing at DSP though I always knew of him from my days as a /v/tard. Please forgive my ignorance. Has there been anyone besides PPP who has gotten as close to Phil and got into his good graces and directly manipulated him like that? From my perspective, all PPP and Warski had to do was pat him on the ass and gas him up, not even in a subtle way, and Phil was putty in their hands. Have any of his alogs tried that before? Surely the Casino wasn't the first two people to ever try just being nice to him in order to milk unique content out of him.

the whole thing feels like some sort of fever dream. I remember he tweeted at some random youtuber account telling them to make all of their videos premiers so they could collect superchats. something about giving unsolicited advice on extracting money from fans while at the height of an alleged resurgence just really made me laugh for some reason.

Phil's been very isolated for years. I can't think of anyone else who tried to be his friend and got let in. There was a guy named Brian who played online against Phil and actually seemed to be his friend until he figured out what DSP was really like. Phil's other main contact was interviews that were either great (Sidescrollers) or terribly boring, but none of them were working a "let's pretend to be friends" angle. I guess Mike Clum might have been gassing Phil up to get let in but I don't think that was a "scam" just Clum trying to get his documentary done. So PPP definitely did the best at playing Phil for a fool.

To be honest, I once thought Phil knew they were playing him, at least to SOME extent, but was willing to put up with it (and his wife getting insulted) because he was making so much money. We all joked about it here a million times. The DM leaks, though, show he thought he was in some sort of conspiracy with KC against the detractors. He wouldn't have confided so much in them (even if it was a lie. and I guess someday we'll find out if his wife and parents are horribly ill like he claimed in the DMs) if he didn't think they were actually on his side. All Phil's stories to the contrary aside, that's my belief.

I'm talking about minor things, not the KING SNAKE stream, the little events that stuck with you and everyone seems to have forgotten.

This one's a bit of a brick joke but when Phail would first spend his nights watching the Lard and Tard Show, they would semi-often do Nerds on the Go segments which are these boring videos of this cringe married couple, PPP has said many times that they do those segments specifically to fuck with the audience as they're a slog to get through. What reoccuring Kino Casino segment did Phil name as his favorite when he was in their chat one time? Nerds on the Go. Then if you remember, after the snakening one of the times he ranted against them he specifically named Nerds on the Go as one of the segments that he hated.

The closet thing I can think of are moderators or whales trying to be a moderator.
Only Iced Coffee (OIC) spent thousands to get moderator and I forget what became of that. He eventually "left" (hypothesized to be several other whale socks) and appears from time to time.
Anonymouse leaked his discord chats and other information after gaining his trust as a mod (later to be found out as a diaper fur).
Iron Chef Sakai had the most retarded arc by donating thousands and pissing Phil off by donating thousands to other streamers including Kino Casino (Also hypothesized to be several other whale socks).

Yeah, there are at least 25 pieces of detractor content in that Favorites playlist (both archive.today and Preservetube refuse to archive this list), mostly being multiple-hours-long streams from WPIG, That Being Said etc.

The twitter account (that was totally NOT DSP btw) that popped up and started trying to a-log detractors that Dave was absolutely creaming his pajama pants over. It lasted about all of 3 weeks before he gave up because no one gave a shit and they just kept making fun of him.

Its a very good question but the answer isn't as simple as some may think.

Out of people who have surfaced dirty laundry no one has ever come as close as KC/PPP. But it seems almost essential that Phil has had an outlet somewhat swimilar to PPP at almost all times so there may have been other people who fulfilled a similar role at times - I say that because the pattern seems to be DSP getting drunk at night and emotionally dumping because he has no way of dealing with stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got close with some of his fans over the years but stopped engaging with them as much as soon as they said anything that challenged his beliefs.

It's unlikely but also totally plausible he befriended a neighbor or someone offline over the years too.

But to get into a place like that and manipulate Phil is not easy. You have to have something that Phil wants - and that isn't necessarily money but the ability to make Phil look and feel cool.

You'd have to be a popular enough streamer and all of that and also be manipulative... In a way the side scroller podcast guys would've actually been DSPs friends if it wasn't so abundantly clear to them how far off the deep end the guy actually is. They strongly suggested he try therapy.

But of course DSP doesn't want to listen to anyone so no one besides a person similar to PPP would be able to ever get even remotely close to DSP in the first place. People will give him money and try, but they're all disposable and replaceable (somewhat).

He obviously doesn't talk to his wife Khet about anything. She is strictly a roommate and probably hugely resents Phil for the amount he lied to her but he probably just gaslights her tons: she doesn't care and will only leave it she absolutely has to.
