Both of these things are true.

Health insurance used to have long wait times before coverage started, refuse to cover pre-existing conditions. Despite all this being the case pre-ACA, health insurance has somehow managed to get worse because Obamacare refused to open inter-state markets and practically killed any meaningful hope for a nation-wide market place. Giving insurance companies free reign to fuck over the consumer.

Additionally because more people have insurance (most of it shit) and billing changes due to the ACA, everyone now gets charged the "insurance rate" which is set sky-high to cover things like non-payment, under-payment, and the vig on having to float the cost until the company actually cuts them a check. You can negotiate this down but especially if you have routine issues this is really fucking annoying.

Somehow, a lot of people think you should be able to wait until there's a problem to buy insurance, and not just health insurance. Knew a guy who was perpetually angry because his mom couldn't buy life insurance after she got diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and leave something to her kids.

Firing Comey made Trump look like he was covering up during Russiagate, if you believed that it was real. When you know that it was all fabricated and Comey was actively attacking Trump's administration, it was a no-brainer good move.

Making a big stink about the Epstein files looks like Trump is covering up, if you believe that there's real actionable information in them. When you know that NY FBI has been doing nothing but taking every connection between Trump and Epstein (which are worryingly significant) and blowing them up using pee pee tape levels of fact checking and innuendo, then it makes sense for Trump to shit all over it.
Just listen to you faggots. And yall do this for free. I love how he just shits on you and says that the whole thing was a hoax and if you ever cared about it you’re weak and stupid. Meanwhile you’re all on here coping and making excuses like you were raised by single moms.

I really hope Trump wins the $10b lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch. I don't think it's as much of a thing in the US, but in Britain and Australia, a foundational part of the lib-left NPC pre-training corpus is that people only ever have any objections to immigrants because they've been "brainwashed by the right wing media", of which Murdoch is the all-powerful, all-seeing overlord. Rupert is like 500 years old and it's a fact that when he dies, probably relatively soon, even if it's peacefully, surrounded by loved ones and a shitload of money, the left is going to cringe-worthily celebrate the death of this evil, "far-right" bogeyman for the next several decades, exactly like how they've done to the "far-right" Margaret Thatcher. If he gets taken down by Donald Trump, it will completely ruin their whole narrative and will ruin their chance to be smug idiots for the next 50 years, which will be glorious :story:

No, it just means his life will end on a redemption arc, same as how John McCain went from Hitler to hero when he voted to keep Obamacare in place.

What would be worse- the audit showing not enough gold, or a mysterious and unexplained surplus?

Since global money is one of my things: I've suspected for a long time there's a huge surplus they don't want everyone to know about. If we admitted, the first world would know just how much our empire building has been about raping and pillaging for rich people. The propaganda about it being empty is just that: govt created smoke screen.

John and Tony Podesta's Art:

Anyone else convinced at some level of society it just becomes all psychopaths power playing and fucking with each other really fucking hard to see what they can get away with?

I called this many years ago, maybe on this site, that America would pave the way towards private security in the west, on the basis that the niggers and immigrants would cause such unlawfulness that private security would needed to be hired, just like south africa.

You're right on the money. Maybe 10 years ago, the govt started creating white papers outlining how this is exactly what would happen in cities, including what it would look like. It also included what surveillance and policing would be needed to just barely contain the chaos.

People have no idea how bad things are going to get. Straight up tech-fueled surveillance state anarcho-tyranny with the US regionally contained but a new global governance class as the empire goes world-wide and locks down total control forever.

Get ready, baby. The Wall isn't to keep them out, it's to lock you down.

Watching the same people who called him a warmongering pile of shit that hates black people literally start calling him "a lion" just because he butted heads with Trump (against his voters wishes btw) was the funniest shit ever.

Does the article say the letter was ‘allegedly’ penned by Trump, or that it ‘was’ penned by Trump? Because the authenticity of the item and how it was described by the WSJ is absolutely relevant when a defamation lawsuit is in the offing.

The article includes such phrases as:
Maxwell collected letters from Trump and dozens of Epstein’s other associates for a 2003 birthday album

the future president’s signature is a squiggly “Donald”

It isn’t clear how the letter with Trump’s signature was prepared

(Emphasis mine.) Those seem pretty clear statements by the WSJ that the letter is from Trump, and that the signature on the letter is his signature. Trump's lawyers can probably work some magic with just those sentences.

I’m not saying it was, although if you factor out rapid medical response and modern battlefield medicine it would likely have been far higher.
The point I was making was that VA assistance and military pensions should not depend on whether or not the conflict was ‘casualty heavy’. Which is why I thought it was a weird fucking point to bring up.

Please refer to the above, and note also that the VA doesn’t look after the dead, it looks after the poor fuckers who come home missing limbs or with 60% skin grafts or breathing through a hole in their neck and not just guys who ‘dropped a 25lb plate on their foot in the gym’.
Sadly the gym bro in Balad probably has a higher disability rating than the guy with real injuries because he is a better liar. Fraud abounds in VA comp ratings.

Friend, that's not evidence - that's feelings. Basing decisions on feelings rather than facts will fuck you over a majority of the time, as I've repeatedly found to my chagrin.
Observation isn't "feelings." Not endorsing a view on Trump either way, but though observations may be colored by "feelings," and may be inaccurate, they're not always "just" "feelings."

76% of Americans were on private health insurance before the ACA came in to play. Many people who didn't have it, just didn't want it because they were young. They also didn't care because in that time, you could schedule a doctor's appointment, get in that week, and it would cost you $50 to be seen, at least in my area.
The uninsured rate dropped by 45% between when the ACA came into effect in 2013 to 2023.
Since the ACA’s major coverage provisions were implemented in 2013, the number of people with health insurance coverage has grown by more than 38 million, and the nation’s uninsured rate has nearly halved, falling from 14.4% in 2013 to 7.9% in 2023.

Rates of Medicaid/CHIP, individual market, and employer health insurance coverage have all grown from 2013 to 2023 as uninsurance fell: Medicaid/CHIP rising to 19.0% (from 15.6%); individual coverage rising to 7.6% (from 6.2%); employer-sponsored insurance coverage rising to 61.7% (from 58.8%)2.
Additionally:
  • People age 26-34 (12.6PP, down from 26.1% to 13.5%)
  • Adults working part time (12.5PP, from 23.4% to 10.9%), and
  • People age 19-25 (12.4PP, down from 25.2% to 12.8%).
Every demographic (see link) shows a similar downward curve in uninsureds. And 40% of remaining uninsureds would be eligible for expanded Medicaid if their states had it.

However, this will change very soon, because current projections are that marketplace premiums will go up dramatically - as much as 75% - next year, with the expiration of premium tax credits. Uninsured rate hit a record low this January, but

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that 8.2 million people who get ACA insurance now will become uninsured over the next decade due to the expiration of the enhanced tax credits along with other changes that the Trump administration and Congress have made to the marketplaces through regulations and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

I'm going to need to see something on that, because you're asserting that 76% of Americans weren't using their employer's health benefits and just dealing with a private insurance broker themselves. I don't think this is right.
"Private" insurance means anything not public, both employer and individual plans.

So it's settled then. We lost and TPTB won. There is nothing that can be done anymore.

It's especially important to understand that if you voted for Trump, you voted for this. You voted for your own demise and you no longer have a say in your future.

the upper part of society are really more evil than i thought, huh?
People severly underestimated their capability to think ahead and their committment to maintaining control over our lives forever. They fucking won. I'm not kidding.

didn't you say you wanted to kill yourself a week ago? why do we need to take your opinion seriously.

If the evolution of political thought over the past 2 hundred years (plus historic examples of human brutality) are any indication, we probably only see the surface of the evil.

Personally I think most people on this forum (outside of maybe the IDF members) are just regular people who want to live life. We're regular everyday people but very politically aware (that's what chronically online sort of means), and we're trying to stumble our way through a difficult, transitional time in history.

Fats, my man, I like you. I imagine we're both chillaxing in front of our comps, eating pizza rolls, reading every comment. But come on, don't doom so hard, bro.

We don't know what the future holds. Yes, TPTB look damn close to lock down the entire globe for a very long time. That's essentially what covid was about. Can we lock these fuckers down at a whim? Will they lock themselves down? How much world-wide control do we have?

But there are always good men out there. It's an open question which way everything will go.

Oh, dead to fucking rights. Really well observed. I hope Trump enjoys being a media mogul because I think he’s about to own the WSJ literally and unironically as settlement.

Sadly the gym bro in Balad probably has a higher disability rating than the guy with real injuries because he is a better liar. Fraud abounds in VA comp ratings.
Systems with perverse incentives produce outcomes with perverse results. The VA was partially reformed under Trump I, what we need is some DOGE on that thang. Maybe not primarily to reduce expense but more to make sure most of the money goes to actual veterans and not fat Shaneequas in the bureaucracy.

I disagree, there's plenty of wiggle-room in those quotes for them to say they're simply reporting other people's claims about this letter found in the DOJ evidence. I know what you want it to say and I would like ihat too but I'm just telling you how this plays out. If this letter is in fact in the boxes of DOJ Epstein evidence then the WSJ is in the clear AND the Epstein files are full of bogus garbage.

A convenient bow-tie to wrap up the whole affair. Almost like it was scripted.

EDIT:

I shall now reevaluate my entire existence....

Let’s open that box, shall we? Do you have the numbers on soldiers injured or killed specifically as a result of enemy action, or is your little diatribe above the usual libshit fantasies about the military basically being adult daycare with guns, third world edition?
View attachment 7662805
Pretty sure most of those folks were shot or IED’d and not injured falling off a chair at the Burger King in the green zone.
You seem extra salty. you must be someone pulling VA Disability %. These are rookie numbers, and do not justify the number of over 30% of all vets pulling gibs out of a military force of over 2 million people.

But thank you for your service :tomgirl:

that's just "recent" history.
some feudal lord ruling like a god over his plebs would just disappear in the noise, if it was recorded at all. or stuff 500 years ago in south america that never got document. heck the romans apparently were into all kinds of shit like mexican donkey shows in the colosseum - and tha's the west in the last 2000 years.
