Plagued Lolicon/Shotacon Defense Force - The people who jerk off to cartoon children and won't ever shut up about it

I decided to rewatch the Brittany Venti video on the topic of Lolicons, VTubers and how the attraction to children is being normalized. There’s something she showed from Pixiv that I feel I should bring to all of your attention:

Contrary to whatever people who support this crap may claim, these two images are not “just drawings”, they are photo bashed images from real kids. Lazily, might I add.

The wonky shading that an amateur artist, paired with the bizarre blurry backdrop, are dead giveaways to me. Anyone with basic photo editing skills could easily make images like this, so long as you’re familiar with what filters to use.

Pixiv was blocked off for allowing pedophiles to openly post this type of shit. Many Lolicon artists do the same thing, and just draw uwu anime faces over the photos to try and cover their tracks.

I might be showing my age a little bit here, but I remember when gatekeeping meant keeping people out of productive hobbies such as model trains, history circles and just about any scientific subject matter where you needed a minimum of grade 12 education to participate. It was meant to keep dumbasses who didn’t know the difference between an allosaurus and an albertasaurus out of the conversation, as they usually added nothing.

Gatekeeping was, however, meant to be a temporary thing. If you didn’t know how to make a drone fly, there was no issues with learning how to so that you can participate in the hobby.

Watching movies, anime and hentai are not hobbies anymore than sitting around watching tv all day is. You’d never see anyone describe “watching tv” as an actual hobby, unless it was a specific program that they’d actively engage in.

For example, a person who watches sports may also have an obsession with numbers and probability so they incorporate both interests into it. I knew several people who’d talk about hockey and baseball teams that would talk about how they’d calculate the chances of their team winning or losing. Many of them have notebooks filled with numbers and percentages that almost look like foreign languages to anyone who isn’t into them.

With history and prehistory stuff, speculation based on evidence takes a lot more effort than people realize it does. It can take hours to days of researching a specific historical event to even attempt to fill in the blanks. It turns social when you hit up other people researching the same topic, but go to different sources for information. Then there’s the combing process, and trying to come up with the most reasonable consensus.

Those are hobbies because they require you to do something productive that engages your creativity.

People who draw fanart or write fanfictions for their favorite anime’s would have a much better case of calling themselves “real fans”. Just like the above examples, engaging in art and writing for your favorite is not only a labor of love, but you’re doing it without any guarantee of getting paid for it. You have to engage with the source material and then see what you can do with that.

Most of the Lolicons featured in this thread don’t even have the creativity to draw or write for themselves. They need someone else to make it for them. Like many people who are neck deep in culture war nonsense, they don’t want to create the material that would appeal to them. Because doing so requires a lot more effort than sitting through 100+ episodes of “I’m dating my elementary school sister” or “the pedophile who got reincarnated into another world to groom kids there” anime.

TL;DR: Most people who talk about wanting to “gatekeep anime” to “protect the hobby” aren’t even hobbyists in the first place. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Gatekeeping depends on why it's being done. Is your community small and at risk of getting obliterated if every new fag comes in and fucks it up? Yeah I get it. Anime is not that. It has millions and millions of concurrent watchers and readers a month. There are entire conventions and industries around anime. It is a place for anyone. Lolicons want to act it's all about them and not about the rest of the community. Fuck off.

He literally made it on April Fools tho... with the joke being it stays as an "experiment". Being serious, I think he wants to understand them, and more importantly, not give Proctor and /vt/ complete and total control over the market. From a business stance, it actually makes total sense.

He said on another stream that he wanted to create a place for vtuber fans where they could discuss their interest without "cunnysieurs" shitting up their discussions on people like pekora.

As i said, he opened up the market. From a buisness sense, its fucking great. Its often forgotten that before TVA, those niggers were on the Farms, and until DropKF caused instabilty problems, they didn't leave until then. Most of TVA are farmers. Josh is making them an area after being busy for years dealing with tranny shit.

The phrase “gatekeep your hobbies” is always a mantra of people who don’t contribute anything to said hobbies, unless it’s gooning to loli scat hentai or some other freak shit normal people are happy to be filtered out of.
