It seemed to just come out of nowhere in the early 2010s.
I'd like to think that it's just a facet of the overall push towards identity politics that took off at around the same time. I won't go into it here because obviously it's not the schizo thread but it goes without saying that identity politics can be leveraged for political and financial gain and I think, by extension, the same applies to the transgender ideology. It also goes without saying that without the help of the mainstream media and corporate investments, I doubt transgenderism would've ever had the place in the public consciousness that it does presently -- something so niche would never make it that far organically.
Anyways, now that I have an excuse to talk about it, I've been thinking, while I do get the impression that transgenderism is kind of falling out of favor, I have my doubts that things will ever actually go back to how they were prior to the 2010s considering trannies are both a convenient wedge issue and something that generates an abundance of revenue for the health industry. It's both funny and kind of sad to look back on arguments I've seen trannies make concerning the idea that the government and the media are conspiring against them because it's true in some regard, just not in the way that they'd like to think it is. I guess you just have to be a moron to never connect the dots because I've literally had some of them tell me that a niche demographic wouldn't be targeted for profit or worse, that, since their insurance covers it and the "experts" told them it's alright, there can't possibly be any darker underlying motives. Honestly, if someone wants to make bad decisions, do drugs, and get cosmetic surgery, fuck it, I don't really care -- the crux of the issue is that it's being framed as something more than that, and for reasons that obviously don't occur to most people.
And if you believe in the Jewish Globalism NWO conspiracy stuff (ngl, I do), then it also falls in line with that.
While I don't explicitly believe that it's da joos (though to be fair, they tend to be heavily involved) entirely conspiring to replace the population, I definitely agree that the whole ideology clearly aligns with the interests of the political elite. I'm not too sure that the demographic matters too much so long as they're able to maintain wealth and control over the population, hence the distribution of various harmful substances and the advocacy for promiscuity, pornography, transgenderism, and whatever else hinders people's ability to form healthy relationships and further polarizes the political landscape. It's the same reason I've been thinking transgenderism might not fall out of the mainstream any time soon, unfortunately.
Something I do find interesting though, which I've already kind of alluded to in another post, is how transgenderism benefits a lot from the conditions that have been established throughout the past couple of decades, predominantly the growing prevalence of social media and the internet. I think it's funny when people say trannies aren't that big of a problem because most of them are online when there was, just some years ago, a concentrated effort to keep people inside and consequently online all the time. I mean, I can't help but notice that transgenderism became
even more normalized circa 2019-2020. I think it's also just capitalizing on the fact that a portion of the population is seemingly more mentally ill and dependent on drugs than ever, which is also deliberate I'm sure.
