More context for people coming here from the feature. On twitch a subscriber isn't like a youtube subscriber, a "follower" is the equivalent to a youtube subscriber, while a "subscriber" is a paid subscription to support the streamer. Twitch also has a feature called "hype trains" where if a bunch of people give money through subscriptions or bits (one time donations) a hype train is started and people have to keep giving money to keep the hype train alive and to get it to "level up". Basically a gameified way of giving money, you ever play on an MMO server where one guy starts giving items away as a flex then a bunch of other people join in as a flex its the same idea. Jason has (correction: had) the record for highest level hype train on twitch (he actually broke the record twice so I'm not sure which time this was), and what this clip shows is that he got a friend to buy subscriptions whenever the train was about to die out to artificially keep it alive and keep his fans spending even more money.
