But he WOULD bother to individually cut out every single plug inside the video itself..? That seems like way more "bother" than adding a link to the description.

It seemed like he only did the one plug, and if he was going through the trouble of removing the plug intentionally to scrub it and make them look bad, why would he leave the direct link to where you could buy their show in the video description? And what's with the jump cuts in the video itself, they clearly still have audio being recorded but when it gets to that part of the video there are several time jumps and audio cuts (and not because of racial stuff or whatever, exclusively).

The way the video was edited reminded me a lot of old Tom Green videos he used to do which were highly edited and feature a similar style of absurdist, physical comedy. I know Harland did a lot of work as a writer with Tom Green in the early 90s and has performed extensively as an improv comic in that similar style and they live close to each other (him and Green, that is). I concede that you could be totally correct, I just don't get how there wouldn't be confirmation from somebody involved in this if this created a blood feud and death-struggle between these two considering it was posted like a week ago and the premiere they're talking about happened in June (based on the information I could find). If anything, if the premiere happened a month before this was posted and it was released way after the fact it would lend more credibility to it being a real argument with some enmity on the side of Harland's people unless they did more premieres for other episodes of their MDE season 2 show.

Frankly, I am surprised by the paucity of actual information on any of this stuff from people in this thread or related threads where this stuff is being discussed aside from pure speculation, which I am perfectly capable of doing on my own lmao. It just seems to boil down to some kind of weird parasocial envy(?) or general distaste. I would have thought this guy would have more dedicated a-logs who would have the information readily to hand. I guess with as much hate as he gets he just has fewer dedicated antifans than people in the O&A community, Roganverse, Legion of Skanks, Redbar and orbit of stuff like the Howard Stern show where there are legions of hardcore a-logs who could tell you in minute detail about all kinds of spergery related to obscure radioshow/podcast appearances for people you've never even heard of. Almost all of the comedians who used to work on MadTV (which officially ended production in 2015 but was not being watched heavily since well before then) have moved on to work in this podcast comic space now and if you listen to their shows, it's so much tamer than MadTV, they avoid race jokes like the plague. It's notable the ones that don't because they usually get a lot more traffic (Aries Spears comes to mind and he's only able to get away with line-stepping because he's black). The only other way to generate that same level of sustained viewership is to have really interesting stories or to be connected to a larger show (MSSP, Rogan, etc), the people on the margins are running podcasts you've likely never heard of made for like 5-10k people lol, whereas the more successful ones like Theo Von who has monkey-branched his connections to Rogan to pull down millions of views consistently and do shows with Katt Williams but they are all safe edgy and would be mortified over blackface bits and whatever this is bro lmao

Yeah ok maybe I am reaching, with Netflix and Adult Swim. But these guys are getting old, they're losing touch and aren't going to be doing this shit in 10 years. They probably want to switch to a podcast format, which is already in the process. And the best thing to do is to get in with the Rogan crowd so they can do the interview circuit shit to stay relevant from the influx of the interviewed's fans. Reducing the number of live shows and skits because no matter how much steroids you inject in your balls, sooner or later you're honna be old and tired.
We already saw how implosion prone and how easily the the white niggers on the right can be deplatformed/debanked during the bloodsports era. It's not economically feasible to do it consistently, and sooner or later the fatherless dick cleaners who watch the "philosophical" streams are gonna get bored and look for a new, younger, and edgier edaddy.
This is about being able to conduct your business, and (most importantly in the entertainment industry) show the rest of the fish in the pond that you can behave like a normal human being. That's how you get connected, remain relevant, and keep the money train going.
