I sure hope this isn't yet another case where SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAN! turns out right, but I dunno, HRO-bros, things aren't feeling good. The fact that Nick is completely melting down is nice, but he's a retard who can't pick up on social cues. It may just be cocaine paranoia on his part.
There's too many unknowns for smart money. The judge has a lot of leeway on this, and I haven't taken a dive into looking at her decisions. (And MN hides HRO decisions, so that leaves even more ???s) While Aaron's new lawyer seems competent on paper, Aaron is a buffoon, and the fact pattern on Nick (with concerns to Qayla's case), means I wouldn't put anything but a laugh on an outcome.
The frustrating thing, I think for many here, is we can see Nick trying to, and in some cases succeeding, in weaponizing the legal system against Aaron. Good ol' Mr. MyGoo wasn't taking it seriously until now, which has doubly frustrated many here. I still think Aaron has a good pivot that can justify the wait (the IRL stalking), but I don't know the judge will buy it.
The fact pattern should favor Aaron, but whether the judge's interpretation of the law and facts agree, is another matter. I know we all wish court would be some great computer that would sort out the facts, but even Star Trek showed the potential issues with that:
Edit to add: Just a reminder as well, Sean didn't think Aaron would succeed even on a temporary basis with the HRO, so Aaron's ahead of the game in that regard.
