The Elder Scrolls

In sadder news Julian LeFay one of the leads who worked on Arena and Daggerfall apparently is ill with terminal cancer and doesn't have long to live.
He was working on a new project that was supposed to be the successor to Elder Scrolls called the Wayward Realms.
He wasn't just a lead, he was the director (and lead programmer) of Arena and Daggerfall. Todd owes his golden throne to this guy; without him, there's no TES. The Wayward Realms was always a pie-in-the-sky probably never coming out project that I've been skeptical of for years but I'm hoping they pull it together.

Breaking news: Raz0rfist on suicide watch, last seen in the streets of Phoenix, Arizona feverishly ranting in just his socks holding his original DOS copy of The Elder Scrolls 2: DaggerFall and a jar of peanut butter before being apprehended. Currently Mr. Fist is in stable, but monitored condition .

Whats that faggot's opinion of Morrowind btw?
iirc that it is too slow and how that it doesn't have fast travel is bad, though it has fast travel, with four spells, two teleportation networks, silt striders and boats.

what a tremendous homosexual, levitation and jump spells also exist to make traveling fast and easy.
In my current pure game playthough, I have been focusing on Athletics and Acrobatics, mainly as a way of boosting my strength and speed, and man you are speedy even at a mere 50 Athletics.

Morrowind has pretty generous mobility options but it takes longer then playing for a few minutes to figure that out unfortunately.

Sounds like a day that ends in Y for that faggot.

Doesn't he hate it now because the game doesn't promote muh, "Christian values?"

Yeah I'm in agreement that they didn't really seem to have their shit together, but I do pray I am wrong for his memory at the very least.

Julian LeFay
Ahh, another case of a cool ass motherfucker who made something I like suffering a horrible fate, while its corruptors live forever. Makes a man want to sneed.

The worst a game can be is boring. If it's bad, something to mock or share our disappointment in, maybe even find some fun in the bad. If it's good, this becomes a Wayward Realms thread because like hell there's going to be anything to talk about regarding ES even if WR is in dev hell.
They better pull through, the memory of LeFay will be riding on it.

Recently learned that you can acquire a daedric weapon 20 minutes into the game easily if you know what you are doing and it really embodies why I like the game more than others, that there is no need for external balance, and you are allowed to get end-game level weapons and armor from the get-go if you know where to go. Goldbrand is similar in that it requires only 2k gold and a book to complete.

If you hate wabbajack's obsession with correct folder paths, and hate the fact they force manual downloads try Wabbajack Unlocked. It automates modlist downloads and stops the folder check bullshit. Thank god for GPL.
You're missing the best part, it auto downloads without having to pay for premium.

This post is gonna sound real stupid, but I want it somewhere. For a really long time I've had issues with doing things too fast- I'll rush projects, games, etc and never really have a chance to enjoy it. When I was younger, I got my hands on Skyrim but didn't like it very much at all, because it's not as "here is what you do" as a lot of games I was used to.

So I didn't play it. I left it alone for years. And after a while, picked it up again- and adored the damn thing. I loved it. It was my thing I'd come home and play for hours, but eventually put down for other things.

Now, years later, I'm playing Skyrim again, and I've realized that it's teaching me to slow the fuck down and savor the experience. Right now, I have the VR version playing on my PS4, and it's been an interesting way to play the game.

This post probably really sounds dumb to Elder Scrolls veterans, but it's been my experience with Skyrim in particular.

you assume most of the people ITT have the money and the stomach for a VR gear :sighduck:
also try daggerfall and morrowind vr mods.

I don't actually have a decent PC or anything (surface pro 5). I was given a PS VR set by a friend and have been using that, so VR mods for previous titles are out of the question.

Oh boy, I can see gay ass mod authors and Nexus staff trying to stop this in some way.

Amazing (didn't know about ModHQ, guess I'll add that to the list with ModdingHaven and Basedmods), guess I won't need normal Wabbajack anymore. Seems to have been in development for years, nice to see something like this released.
