I’ve fixed a ton of bugs recently! Before I begin working on the next big addition(s) to the game, I wanted to release a build containing all of the fixes that have been made recently – so here it is!
Before we get to the “here’s a list of everything that was added/changed/improved in the latest build…” phase of the post, I want to quickly direct your attention to my previous blog entry:
It was a pretty important announcement, and it’s going to get shoved downwards and scroll off the screen when I publish this post that you’re currently reading, so I just wanted to direct your attention towards it in case you weren’t already aware.
Oh, by the way – speaking of important announcements, there’s one other thing I should mention. The game’s launcher hasn’t been working recently because the website that it checks – mega.nz – changed its policy/protocol for third-party applications accessing and downloading data from it. I’ll look into the problem and see if I can update the launcher to become compatible with the new protocol. In the meantime, just download the game from one of the alternate links on the
Downloads page.
Okay! With that out of the way, please scroll down past this chilling illustration by

Additions
- After killing a student by freezing them to death, it is now possible to open the doors to the freezer room and remove their corpse so that you can dispose of it. (This means that it is now possible to complete Custom Mode playthroughs that involve the “No Alerts” and “Must eliminate rival by freezing them” conditions.
- Yandere Simulator currently does not fully support playing at a 16:10 aspect ratio. However, an adjustment has been made to the home scene so that, if you’re playing the game at 16:10, you won’t see the game’s UI extend outside of the screen.
- The new Ramen Shop music was way too low-energy, so it has been replaced with new, much-higher-energy music that is much more of a “banger,” like the other tracks that play on the street with all the stores.
- Adjusted the game’s depth-of-field values so that the background is not so blurry when the player is walking through the protagonist’s house.
- Updated the ceiling/floor/rug/wall textures in the Drama Club Room.
Fixes
- In 1980s Mode, if the player instructed Ryoba to leave her room, the door she would exit from was not logically consistent with the location of her bedroom. (Her window would have been looking directly into another room, rather than the outside of the house.) Ryoba and her sister’s rooms have changed places so that the location of Ryoba’s bedroom makes more logical sense. (Ryoba’s sister now sleeps in Ayano’s room, meaning that Ayano eventually inhabits her aunt’s old bedroom.)
- If the player attacked a teacher with a small weapon while at 0% sanity, the protagonist and the teacher would instantly go into the low-sanity killing animation even if the player didn’t meet the criteria for being able to attack a teacher, and the two characters would be completely desynchronized from one another (a meter apart and not facing one another). This bug has been fixed.
- If the player entered a struggle with a Heroic student while holding a long weapon but with a short weapon in their inventory, the player was supposed to take their short weapon out of their inventory and fight back with it. This was not happening. This bug has been fixed.
- In the “Senpai meets Kizana” cutscene, Senpai’s animation played too soon, so the player would see him reach the end of his animation and become a statue permanently stuck in the final frame of his animation. This oversight has been corrected.
- If the player attended class while a student was interacting with the bake sale, all other students would think “there is someone in front of me in line at the bake sale” and would never interact with the bake sale. This bug has been fixed.
- In Mission Mode, if the player fired a student council member, splashed them with water, stole their phone, and let them find their lost phone, the female student council member would walk in place indefinitely. This bug has been fixed.
- In 1980s Mode, if the player left the protagonist’s room and went to the basement, the “Exit” label would remain active 100% of the time, instead of only appearing when it was close enough to interact with. This bug has been fixed.
- In the Custom Mode menu, if the player used the “Randomize” option with Ayano selected, there was a 1-in-219 chance that it would land on a very specific hairstyle that would cause an error. This bug has been fixed.
- If the player performed the “Empty Husk” demon ritual, the empty husks that spawned at school would have normal skin color instead of grey skin color like they were supposed to. This bug has been fixed.
- If the player gave Ayano “custom hair” (by modifying her hairstyle using the dresser outside of her bedroom) Yandere Vision would stop working properly. This bug has been fixed.
- The “bake sale logic” worked fine in the morning, but broke at lunchtime, causing students to just pile up in a huge crowd in front of the bake sale. This bug has been fixed.
- If the player selected the “SNAP” option 17 times and then restarted the day, when “fading to black,” the player’s hair would not fade to black. This bug has been fixed.
- In Mission Mode, if the player fired a student council member, their routine would become “stand in Student Council Room and talk to the air.” This bug has been fixed.
- If the player kidnapped Amai and then visited her down in the basement, her eyebrows would stretch out of her head and go through the ceiling. This bug has been fixed.
- The fountain on the title screen and the six fountains scattered around the school were not updated to have the new water effects. This oversight has been corrected.
- In the “Ryoba is arrested by police” cutscene, the cops and journalist were visible at the beginning of the cutscene. Oops! This bug has been fixed.
- The “player can put a texture into a folder to customize their rival’s bookbag” feature wasn’t working. The feature has been fixed.
- If the player disabled outlines, outlines would still appear on the gardening club’s gardening cans. This bug has been fixed.
- If the player disabled outlines, Amai’s kerchief and bookbag would still have outlines. This bug has been fixed.
- If the player wrapped a corpse in a garbage bag, its outline would not turn orange. This bug has been fixed.
- Targets in Mission Mode did not have red outlines, as they were supposed to. This bug has been fixed.
- It was possible to attack teachers even without leveling up the P.E. stat. This bug has been fixed.
- Amai’s original eyebrows were visible poking through her hair. This should no longer be the case.
- In the Alphabet Killer Challenge, the weapon bag was inaccessible. This bug has been fixed.
- Fixed typos in Dozuki’s dialogue.
Fan Art
As you doubtlessly already know, I usually share fan art at the top of each blog post. I have a massive backlog of fan art to share, and I want to increase the rate that I’m posting it, so from now on, I might share two pieces of fan art per post – one at the top, and one at the bottom.
With that said, please enjoy this beautiful illustration of Asu Rito sent in by an artist going under the name
Ayano Aishi!
