Theo probably doesn't know any better about his hacking claims because he's exclusively a frontend webdev and never bothered to look at his code to see how insane it is because he doesn't view Jason as a lolcow but as a friend. I would also expect most webdevs to be similarly obnoxious to Jason (including Theo), although less narcissistic and manipulative, but people ought to remember that it's not normal to try to out your friends as secretly being shitty people, and I don't agree with these guilt by association games. Primeagen probably knew the hacker shit was dumb, but he strikes me more as a consummate professional who is able to tolerate that kind of bullshittery for the sake of his job, and he probably also gave it a bit of a pass because Prime has felt a bit like an impostor for doing dumb shit at Netflix, too.
