There is such a thing as a bad friend... Such as a guy who blows up a good tv series with Adult Swim and then also acts like a clown 10+ years later on a press tour for another (way less funny) tv series. Nick is the most outcome independant of everyone involved, financially speaking, so it makes sense for him to be the most Ride Or Die.

Nick and Charls are way past that, get over it dude, it happened 10 years ago. People in this thread act like Adult Swim is this magnificent company that everyone loves working for and they produce the greatest shows. They don't. World Peace was the last stretch of Adult Swim having any good shows, MDE was never going to last there. Sam, Nick, and even Charls all stated that they hated working with Adult Swim, Nick has trashed Adult Swim a lot.

People don't seem to understand how good MDE has it right now, completely independently produced on their very own platform, can do whatever they want with their shows without censorship, they make much more money than they would at Adult Swim.

If I had a show on Adult Swim I probably would have done the same thing Sam did.

After CODE PHRASE: GORILLA NEST and the table flip, I actually think it was somewhat salvageable as a bit if Sam had realized how retarded he looked. He could have just sat on the overturned desk with the twigs, played with them, and let Nick and Charls talk the rest of the time or something. The part where it really shows had bad it was, is the part right after the table flip, where Sam tries to wrestle Harland to the ground. Maybe for the first 5 seconds it's 'fine', but the fact that Sam kept going for almost an entire minute, wrestling with this guy, showed he had no clue what to do and was completely sperged out. He was acting like a nigger, where the only answer he had was physical violence towards the White Catholic Canadian Man.

Adult Swim sucks, who cares? They haven't had a good show since World Peace and MDE is in a better position without them. It's not 2002 anymore, tv stations have lost all of their relevance in the internet age, especially low tier nighttime stations like Adult Swim. They got their exposure to Adult Swim viewers and that's all they needed, almost none of the skits in Extreme Peace would have flown at Adult Swim.

So Harland did deliberately censor out the parts of the podcast where Sam was promoting World Peace, even though that was the whole reason he was on Harland’s show to begin with? I watched the whole thing twice but for some reason I only picked up on that detail the 2nd time around.

So the bridge is burnt, and it’s also not a bit. To most people it just looks like Sam was really unprofessional, and is not above crapping on someone giving him a big opportunity. You’d also think on the basis of Harland being a white Christian alone, that Sam would try to stay on his good side, beneficial alliances and all. But nope.

It’s weird how with these male self-help e-celebs (yes Sam is one) masculinity is always an overt primal display of overpowering someone/extreme avarice/getting bitches, and never some real shit that matters like, idk, maturity, responsibility, and humbleness. Sam did nothing wrong. That podcast has 10× as many views as Harland's last five uploads. 100k more than the nick Mullen episode. Sam knows how to generate a buzz

Sam did raise the views, but not intentionally. People gathered around the Sam Hyde episode because they wanted to see a genuine crashout (which did happen). Watch the podcast for yourself without skipping (or check out Null's analysis on it, which is the best so far).

Though I like Sam as a comedian, he has demonstrated, time and time again, to be an egotist who overcompensates with fast cars, TRT, and political/personal grandstanding while managing to alienate most people around him, save for the most fringe and gullible people.

The egotism also manifests in the form of public confrontations and run-ins with authorities, which Sam mentions multiple times on PGL podcasts.

So in short, "getting away with it" turned out to be Sam's biggest curse, and it was about time a lot came back to bite him. Harland's podcast was merely the beginning.
