For Chicago small businesses, ‘the pope economy’ is good
The Pope is the best thing to happen to the Chicago White Sox in living memory. Not like the actual team will be getting anywhere anytime soon considering they currently they are 35-65 this year and set a record for the most losses in a single season in the modern era in 2024.

I distinctly remember him months before the guy that stormed in with a gun he talked about how he had a basement under the Pizza Parlor to some journos but after that happened he denied ever having a base underneath the place at all.
Yes, I remember there were plans and pictures showing weird underground areas that looked unfinished. It was totally denied afterwards. And as I recall, the guy with the gun who shot one bullet into the place just happened to shoot through the door and hit the business's computer tower. Sounds like a conspiracy theory, right? Except James "Alefantis" went on local news and showed the cameras how the one bullet fired just happened to hit the computer system. Oh well! Nothing to see there! I guess the computer and its contents just had to be scrapped!

The name Comet Ping Pong Pizza always stuck out to me as well; like, what the fuck does that name even mean? If it was some poorly-translated Engrish that’d be one thing, but it legit seems like they picked that name rather than a “Joe’s Pizza” so nobody walked into the wrong Joe’s and started saying too much and ruining the scheme…
I don't know where the name comes from specifically, but the theme of the place was that families could come and play ping pong at a pizza parlor. That never seemed particularly appealing to me, but I don't have kids. It's weirder to me that there would be so many high level DC connections with a family-oriented pizza place whose schtick was this one family activity. If it was a fancy restaurant or even a local fixture around for a long, long time, I'd understand being part of DC politics. But a family-oriented pizza restaurant founded in the recent past whose main draw is having ping pong activities for kids and their parents? It doesn't make much intuitive sense. It's like if the Florida legislature had a bunch of political connections centered around a Margaritaville. It just doesn't sound right.

Calvinists btfo
Calvinism is one of the worst mainstream Protestant denominations, besides Methodists. Though some of the Presbyterians in my area are huge theology nerds, the majority of those who belong to any flavor of Calvinism tend to be pretty liberal (accepting of gays, women pastors, abortion, etc.) or extremely pro-Israel. John Calvin may have been one of the more intellectual members of the Protestant Reformation, but his reforms ultimately resulted in horrendous doctrinal missteps.

The Pope is the best thing to ever happen to the Chicago White Sox in living memory. Not like the actual team will be getting anywhere anytime soon considering they currently have a 35-65 record this year and set a record for the most losses in a single season in the modern era last season.
The Pope is probably the best thing to happen to the entirety of Chicago in several years. The city is a crime-ridden hellhole with rampant corruption, abundant ghettos, serial murderers, and insufferable "diverse folk." Despite the fact that the papacy has been subverted by modern liberalism, I hope that Pope Leo XIV does not completely embrace globohomo and presents a more conservative worldview. However, I'm likely being optimistic.

>It's not the black man's fault he stabbed somebody he had a hard life! Racism made him do it!
>It's not the mexicans fault he crossed the border illegally! The place he's from is dangerous!
>It's not my fault I drove with a .3 BAC! I've had a bad week!
>It's not my fault I have no money, i was born poor!
> It's not my fault I had to hire Mexicans illegally to work my factory farm! I just wanted EVERYONE ELSE'S illegals deported!

You can just ignore him if he upsets you. It’s why it exists.
This one is hard for me because when he's not talking about Israel or jews he makes pretty good posts.
Especially in children's media, our favorite Captain being a prime example.
I wish we were in the timeline where Swat Katz was not cancelled to make way for Captain Planet.

I just cant get over this Eswatini story I really cant, the more I hear/read about it the wilder it gets.

Ok so there are 5 people being deported from the US officially in this regard and they are ALL from 5 different nations, Vietnam, Jamaica, Cuba, Yemen, and Laos.

So my primary news source for this in Eswatani (formerly Swaziland) is Newzroom Afrika (yes that EXACTLY how they spell it) and this fucking guy

I just dont even know what to say, this looks like how Sam Hyde would dress an African as a joke and its his official news outfit, its also even funnier when you realize the woman interview him is dressed "normal"

Our boy has also been in some hot water with the king recently for saying some "false news allegations" lmao

ANYWAY

The word in the herd is that this has very little to di with Eswatini and the government there is just playing ball with trump to try and get criminals/milita groups into south Africa but I cant quite put my finger on why he wants that. My guess is to topple the existing government.

It also asks an interesting question isent deporting people back to a place they dident come from just human trafficking by another name? Sure its governments doing it and sure its criminals right now but it sets a kinda wild precedent that the US reserves the right to just ship you off to a random nation state if they determine you have committed crimes against the state can you imagine what the second congressional congress would have had to say about that?

Well, obviously the Dem! Everyone a cunthair to the right of Honorable Chairman Mao himself is a turbonazi polluting industrialist villain right out of, well, a Captain Planet episode. Funny how that worked out.
Well, he wouldn't have voted for Hillary Clinton since she wasn't as pro-environmentalism as other Democrats. I think CTR is right about Kamala. I'm almost surprised there wasn't a Captain Planet revival for the Chocolate Messiah.

Although... it's questionable if Captain Planet could vote. What was his origin story? Is he even American?

This, right here.

It's brought more people back to church than anything else in the 21st Century.
Most of stances on things are because the people advocating for the other side are so ontologically retarded that I would rather coat them with my own brain matter so they might know what one feels like than actually support them. Biggest example is abortion where I ended up going from supporting it to being against it, mostly because the side that's pro-abortion is so dedicated to putting it on a pedestal while having zero coherent arguments for it. I'm starting to go through the same thing with thinking "democratic rule" is fucking stupid given it's lead to bad faith actors getting in charge and stacking the deck with people who will only ever support them while being completely removed from the consequences.

Here is some recent news, US House Representative Mark Green has resigned from Congress, shrinking the House GOP majority.

They'll have a special election, and that district I think is pretty solid red. Not that they should count their chickens, especially with all the shit about the BBB and now Epstein, but it'll probably stay red.

Well, he wouldn't have voted for Hillary Clinton since she wasn't as pro-environmentalism as other Democrats.
No, you silly. If you have only have two choices and one is 1000% sooper evil, and the other one is only 100% plain evil, you vote for to 100% plain evil, and you better be damn grateful for the opportunity, lest ye be labeled a CHUD.

YAY! MORAL RELETAVISTICS!
Captain Planet revival for the Chocolate Messiah.
Don Cheadle notwithstanding? I found his performance most apt.

Since people are still talking about religion... in Leviticus is says a man shall not lie with another man, but it says man, not women. So does that mean being a lesbian is not a sin?
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s implied but never specified in Scripture. Given God’s disapproval of homosexuality, He likely despises faggots and dykes.
