There aren't many options for that amount of cash to just get lost and it's worse if it was earmarked for charity, it wasn't tariffs or anything because this all happened before that. They've had EN auditions in limbo for years now, they simply never debuted any newcomers and kept on bringing on known people like Geega, Amalee, etc. i dont think they ever debuted anyone that wasnt already a known variable or ex-corpo. I think the JPs are the only wholly original talent.

Memes aside the company was started by Gunrun and Mowtendoo, ProjektMelody was originally one of the early staff members but left that role early on, eventually being one of the founding members

If this is anything like Jirard the Completionist’s charity scandal where literally nobody just “forgot” or stopped caring about it, and was constantly giving him shit for in the comments of all his videos until he eventually just quit all together, then VShojo’s image is likely damaged permanently beyond any hopes of repair. Depending on how many and which talents they can somehow convince to stay, they might technically be able to stay in business, but nobody is ever going to let them hear the end of this.

Nope. The vshojo JP members were Kson(formerly Kson before Kiryu Coco, one of hololives bigger talents), Nazuna(Uruha Rushia of hololive, basically their biggest talent after Coco left and a complete fucking lunatic who got fired, got into some marriage drama about a dead cat, on and on who eventually left vshojo again to be indie and continued being a lunatic), and Henya(formerly Pikamee of VOMS who was their biggest talent and got bullied by trannies after saying she might play the stupid harry potter game but never did), Hestia was an indie before vshojo(kept the same character) and the other 3 were likely also formerly vtubers from other agencies(one of them was "dumb enough" to shoot a monitor with an airsoft breaking it during a handcam debut stream, no chance that wasn't planned).

I doubt they'll be able to convince them to stay once more contracts start to expire. None of them need to be attached to a brand that's instantly become that toxic, and if they're willing to fuck over one of their biggest talents(and plenty of others who have already left, in addition to staff publicly leaving) I doubt the less popular ones have it any better. No one gives a shit about Froot, Hime Hajime barely streams as a vtuber, Kson can do whatever the hell she wants and maintain a following, Haruka spent a bunch of time off, Kuro and Michi were previously in nijisanji and can easily follow Matara back to being indie, and AmaLee was indie previously as well. Matara, Nyanners, and Zentreya have proven their audiences will follow them without having to give a corpo agency a cut.

American, their entire shtick was that they give a lot of talent freedom, so for example if the talents leave the company they can keep the IP etc. But by the looks of it the only freedom they gave was the freedom to get scammed for 500k USD.

I have two takeaways from this.

One: What a time to be alive. A time where I sit and find myself watching an AI assisted anime puppet broadcasting the voice of a woman with some kind of cancer-AIDS quitting her anime puppet job. The question "What are we all doing?" dawned on me more than once.

Two: This v-tuber stuff, as it stands, is a house of cards. In the process of bullying Gator I have come to the realization that there some deep deep rot imbedded in all of this. It's not mainstream. It's incredibly niche. It's rife with some really weird fucking people. I've said this before but one of these days you'll see a video like this and there will be some dark shit that comes out.
