Should I Upgrade to Windows 11? Or Remain on Windows 10 out of sheer

Every version of windows is worse than the one before it. I only upgraded because Steam wouldn't work anymore on anything less than 11. Felt like I should be gratefull to get a reach around after being fucked in the ass. So not a fan.

Even basic functions are hidden behind so many command prompts it's a joke. It also spies on you. When search opens Bing, instead of actually searching your computer, you know despair.

Hope you love ads, and forced MSM content.

Sorry I already posted this in the the microsoft hate thread, but my rage needed two outlets, and i'm still pissed.

They even go out of their way to try to block you from making a local account. They want that email and phone number

I finally upgraded to 11 a month ago on my main machine and I had to spend hours neutering all of the "new features." It sucks still, but its tolerable.

I switched to Linux on all of my other machines though.

Really? I have Windows 10 and Steam works fine. Or is it some games don't run on anything other than 11?
I'm almost certain @Town Drunk just made a typo. Steam still supports Windows 10.

Personally the only reason I use windows at all is because a lot of games will either straight up not run on Linux, or run with caveats, not to mention the ways Linux is annoying in general. But I think once we reach a point where nobody is making anything for Windows 10 (which is not the same as Microsoft's arbitrary end of life decision) is when I stop keeping up with modern gaming.
