And the countless ai art threads
Amazingly enough these are some of the most worthwhile threads on the entire site which is really saying something...
As an eternal newfag that has been there since around late 2006 or early 2007 (I forget.), I wholeheartedly agree. What few good posters the site had have obviously not returned. I’m making far less posts myself and only occasionally still look at it, only to leave annoyed or bored.
2005 here. It feels like the linegraph of "good post to bad post" ratio has been consistently pointed down since 2012 or so. Some years it was sloped down more than others, some it was even a flat line, but it never curved upwards again. 4chan never had its "bounce back" moment. Ever since discovering the farms in 2016 I've been consistently on 4chan less and less and lurking here more and more until i finally bit the bullet and made an account. I haven't been back since.

I also love the desperate attempts from reddit/discord tranny raiders at revisionism, trying to imply that the heckin problematic aspects used to not exist outside of /pol/ and /b/ when everyone remembers damn well that shit like this used to happen quite often.

I used them until I got sick of the pedophilia and gooners, and the constant slapfighting. Sure it was funny to see the slapfighting but it became the same looping arguments and dull.

4cuck has been in a perpetual state of decay and will never recover. the hack only accelerated the decline. 4chan is doomed to eventually just become a fully redditised site for normies, leftists and troons. The cycle will repeat for the farms and the party, its only a matter of time.

The cycle will repeat for the farms
There used to be more trannies here than there are now (if there are any), right? To my understanding as more and more tranny lolcows were unearthed and people saw how they're all massive pieces of shit the general sentiment against them grew, and with no moderation to curtail this like there would be in other online spaces all the troons who posted here practically got chased out. I could very well be talking out my arse right now, I don't know.

You are kinda right here. Trannies flocked here thinking they could find another something awful but when they found out that they couldent strong arm their way into moderation and the current moderation wouldnt nuke wrongthink/protect them they all fucked off.

Proper moderation is essential for the longevity of any online forum.

In an overmoderated forum, discussion becomes heavily limited thanks to the mods & jannies, thus people lose their interest in that site as they cannot discuss what they want to.

In an undermoderated forum, discussion becomes impossible thanks to disruptive users, who are more than happy to get into the same arguments every day and derail any on-topic discussion happening.

4chan manages to be both. Most of the site is undermoderated and discussion is often derailed by unlikable retards, but certain topics will be shut down immediately, like any suggestions to improve the state of the site.

Meanwhile, Kiwi Farms does handle its moderation surprisingly well. It's far from perfect, but I've seen far worse. While discussion on this site can be described as laissez-faire, the mods do intervene to prevent threads from being derailed. This is how this site retains its core identity as a lolcow forum and not as a janny hugbox or an online shitting street.

Kiwi Farms also has a rather diverse user base thanks to this. We have people all over the political (& autism) spectrum, ranging from TERFs to incels, from liberals to neo-nazis. As long as you're not a pedophile or someone who only wants to derail discussion, you're welcome here.

While culture changes over time and new users replace old ones, Kiwi Farms is likely to retain a rather consistent quality for its discussions (may fluctuate between threads) as time marches on. Meanwhile, 4chan is a sinking ship as their best users are jumping ship and only the worst people on the internet are willing to replace them.

I have heard of it, and the troons that were from back then basically left when the backlash was getting bad. But like harbringer mentioned, some tried forcing themselves in and thankfully fucked off

Many of the old 4chan anons either killed themselves, had families, got arrested, quietly moved here (not counting the refugee wave), trooned out on discord or some other chatroom, and/or quietly left as their life got busier. I won't be surprised if some of them still lurk, but my doubts increase after the hack. The only people who remain are ADHD tiktok addicts who have attention spans of dying flies (not like the attention span was that high in the first place), troons, gooners, jeets/pakis, etc.

I always found the claim when people claim "KiwiFarms is all nazis" when like you said, it's very diverse. I've seen tankies, monarchists, neo-nazis, and moderates all enjoying discussion together (mostly reasonable), especially in deep thoughts which is one of my favorite boards here. And honestly, I'm relieved about the lack of gooners on this website. It's one of the few places I can enjoy music that others provide here, and discuss history.
