Juries must be impartial and ONLY consider facts presented at trial. Any Obama/Clinton/etc trials would be the Manson trial circus x100 and a reasonable argument can be made that no impartial jury pool can possibly exist anywhere in the current climate. Jury nullification in any such cases due to Orange Man Bad would be catastrophic. Trial via public opinion is the best worst option.

Because this is what Trump had promised incessantly during the campaign. He and many of MAGA rightfully believe that the Democrats are involved with the Epstein case and it was surprisingly a Bi-Partisan issue. Fucking Leftists were also interested in the epstein files being released because they fucking hated the Clintons and the Democratic party just as much as Republicans do.
I think that's why he was always a bit more hesitant in interviews about Epstein. He's had lots of false accusations levelled at him, he's aware of how people with run with the "This guy is in the Epstein files," thing, even if the actual reason is completely unrelated to anything on the Island or whatever.
