Thanks, it explains a lot. If you don't mind me asking, what's all the fuss about her dating some guy? I don't know if you're following the situation or something, but people over at /bant/ lost their fucking minds because she went to see some guy in England or something. I really can't understand the people who think they could hook up with z-list e-celeb that don't even know they exist.
I got bored of watching her streams some time ago, but she can be entertaining at times.

I know nothing about this but I remember autistic anons simping for her because she was too autistic to be a normie girl who dates Chad. It’s like when vtuber simps get mad when it turns out their oshi has a boyfriend in real life.

She is dating Steinful, British guy who worked with MDE on the Fishtank Season 2 edited episodes. Probably been going on about a year at this point, long distance. She announced having a BF and that she was leaving for a month to visit him at the same time causing some trouble. Some simps freaked out and left, she lost a few frequent donators and views are down a bit since.
Kind of the usual simp stuff I guess.

Yah that fucking sucked. I'm not gonna try and breakdown what didn't work, but the crown piece of this episode in the "Friendsgiving sketch" has a great payoff/punchilne, with barely any kind of setup that makes it hit hard, everything else was pretty forgettable.

Overall there were some great bits in EP, but it doesn't hold a candle to WP, which to be tottally fair I never expexted it to. The final sketch of WP is stripped down, not that funny, but extremely haunting in it's set up and execution, the kids in a yard playing football saying blackpilling shit like "I don't want to be a soldier anymore I want to be a marketing executive" and "My mom says Donald Trump is Racist and I have no reason but to believer her" intercut with a mom calling them in for supper is so haunting and surreal it sticks with me to this day, ostensibly what Sam and crew thought was an equivalent sketch in "Friendsgiving" is proof for the Ruse-fags that they don't have that extra ooomhph that made WP special.

One thing I want from season 3 is some more creative/surreal humor. I understand the value of them getting off TV, hosting their own uncensored website, and going all in shitting on jews, trannies, and niggers in the most in your face way possible as a "fuck you" to Adult Swim, but now that the "fuck you" has concluded I want more shit like that gambler dad sketch from WP where it's so fast and chaotic that you finish it and need to take a second to process wtf just happened.

Like there's a sketch in WP where the entire joke is that Sam does a gay voice, crashes a miata, and then farts everywhere and it all happens in a around one minute. Little stupid shit like that scattered throughout makes the deep blackpill sketches hit harder. It seems like they were way more focused on making a statement than just being funny a lot of the time.

I think the Charls streamer break up, Charls roofer, Nick road rage with the firefighter, Vicodin junkie lady, Horny Family Feud, Sam as the jewish doctor, Sam as the porche guy, Erick and the crew as construction workers from episode 2, were all top quality sketches up there with World Peace, I'm sure I'm missing some sketches on top of those. Even the Next Top Daddy Dom sketch grew on me as the episodes went on. I also think the entirety of the Prom 02 sketch from episode 5 is one of the best comedy sketches I've ever seen let alone the best sketch in Extreme Peace.

The rest were extremely underwhelming, drawn out, or outright bad. Nick road rage was the worst skit in the series.

I think Nick might have stunk it up the worst this season, still thought he was good in anything he didn't have free reign to just rattle off retarded shit that isn't being given any time to be comprehended. (don't remember a word he said in the firefighter sketch.)

Erick was a superstar.

Charls was great.

Sam had some great stuff but also some stuff he seemed uninterested or wasn't trying his best, probably a bad idea to film during Fishtank season 1.

Also I think if the Sam Charls reunion happened a year or two earlier than it did the show would probably be more fleshed out, so I'm excited for a season 3.

MDE and Sam specifically was very important and influential for me when I was 17-18. He had a knack for knowing how to work different mediums; he knew how to make the vertical/phone vids intentionally raw and unfiltered but could occasionally flex his editing skills with some of their more highly produced vids. Stuff like Ideas Man, World Peace and Happy World Daddy has this brilliant Venn diagram overlap of being very funny, having that esoteric appeal but also still being artistically brilliant (namely the graphic design work). It felt post-modern while not being pretentious.
Even after that, I still enjoyed his comedy. I never sat through his podcasts because it's not the sort of thing that really seemed to appeal to me, but videos like the iDubbbz documentary (specifically the gaslighting document, which still makes me laugh) were very funny and it was pleasing to see him get a second wind around 2022/23.
But after Extreme Peace being kind of a dud and the Harland Williams podcast appearance, it really feels like he's fallen off. The fact he couldn't play off Harland well at all and resorts to the most low-brow, Fuentes tier bit of calling someone a Jew and talking about rape shows that he's lost his distinctive sharpness. His entire crew of sycophantic fans turned collaborators doesn't do him any favours. If he wants to take on a producer role for projects like Fishtank and take people like Jet under his wing, that's admirable I guess, but it's not content I enjoy and I don't think they should be part of whatever this new iteration of MDE is.
