South Park + Its Political Sperging (?) Thread - Season 26 ongoing!

Did this person only watch season 20 and thought Heidi was a main character? How the fuck can you hate the source material now when Heidi and the girls in general were never the main focus of the show?

Say what you want about Seth MacFarlane, at least his shows don't have trannies like these as part of the fanbase.

This user claims to be a lesbian on their profile. I'm not even sure why she's a fan of South Park. It does nothing with its female characters and even then they aren't big characters. So why is she acting so surprised that the girls aren't used?
Well he made a certain episode and his defense about it endeared no one
Doesn't he make fun of trannies with Quagmire's dad? Even when he tried to make his dad more likeable I still hear how "transphobic" the show is because they still make jokes about how hes a man still.

Yeah, he also makes him kind of a shitty person.

They made a joke about JK Rowling being transphobic too. https://youtu.be/RodZkJlYEso?si=tPDRTKHXDtqt0KT_

Damn so from my understanding Trey Parker and Matt Stone negotiated the streaming rights to South Park sometime in the 2000s. Which is why you used to be able to watch South Park episodes for free on SouthParkStudios.com. No doubt holding streaming rights when streaming was not a big thing is a big reason they got this minted contract.

Good for Matt & Trey I can’t understand how South Park could be worth so much but it clearly is if Viacom would pay so much for it. Casa Bonita is never shutting down.

Trey and Matt only had the streaming rights because their lawyer noticed that their original contract said nothing about streaming rights, allowing them to assert that they kept them and later selling them via 50/50 split during a later contract renewal to Paramount.

And the value of South Park comes from it being an evergreen show for streaming and the fact that it and The Daily Show are the only remaining original programs on the network people care about and watch. Which is why the Skydance merger scares Trey and Matt (and to a greater extent Stewart and company) so much, as Skydance doesn't want to coddle them as pampered princes of liberalism.

BTW this doesn't solve the issue of the Max lawsuit and you known damn well that Max's lawyers are going to note that if Trey and Matt do a regular ten episode or more season, that it's yet another smoking gun that they explicitly broke their contract. Unless Paramount is going to give Max the new episodes next day regardless of the new deal, per the current frozen status quo of Max still airing the show so long as the lawsuit is pending.

New episode is here

Honestly kinda liked it, bit heavyhanded but glad they cut back on some of the adherence to continuity and melodrama so far which was my issue with the show for the past few seasons

Also guess Trump is just Saddam Hussein, honestly kinda wanted Saddam back in the show so them just making another world leader the exact same as Saddam than doing an impression of them is probably funnier than doing what the Simpsons and Family Guy did

I can not wait to see Trump's reaction to this, lol. Considering the fact that Paramount and Skydance are doing everything in their power to appease the orange man to get the merger approved, this is likely going to derail it hard.

Paramount has to really be the dumbest major company right now like I used to think it was Sony or Warner Bros but between pissing off their talent enough to insult you three times this year, horribly marketed animated movies that bomb, and shitty science fiction shows on their streaming service that bomb.

These morons can't do anything right and I love how Matt and Trey are pretty much fleecing them out of their money even if they aren't at their prime anymore

The funny thing to me is that this episode just invalidates Colbert’s current argument that him and CBS have been censored.

You can’t cry to me that corporate media is being censored when South Park still gets to be South Park. It doesn’t work like that.

This was probably their best episode in a decade. It looks like this season will be one long story arc though.

South Park still has a bunch of its episodes censored on all streaming platforms. It's not like the show has been uncensored since 200 and 201. I doubt that they'll ever make another episode featuring muslims again. Even if they don't fear muslim violence Paramount won't actually air the episode. So pretending like South Park isn't censored everywhere doesn't really work either when it's literally censored everywhere but certain physical releases and piracy.

That only works if next week's episode invalidates this week's episode as a bad dream Butters has and Garrison is back in office.

Because it seems more like Parker and Stone are basically in bed with Colbert and his fellow travelers to escalate the anti-,Trump rhetoric especially at Paramount because they are pissy as fuck not only is company going to be sold to a pro Trump comp but that Colbert got shit canned because the new owners did not want to subsidize Colbert's anti Trump insanity.

Because I would not be shocked if Parker and Stone have their new deals revoked via breach of contract after tonight's episode and fired. Because it's clear that Colbert and his crew intend to force a fait accompli where Paramount is going to have to fire them over their TDS

Yeah, like I would be fine if they do a season long story arc only if its actually funny and not melodramatic shit. That's why this episode was much funnier than all the episodes they had in the last few seasons (again it helps that they basically brought back Saddam by just having Trump be a stand-in....though in a just world where they could be edgier, Bibi would've probably played that role.)

>American politrannyism

Yep, I'm out. And no, it's not about bias. I probably would've done this if Kamala had won as well. Hearing South Park talk about politics is straight up insufferable.
I don't think they understand how much this Trump shit is irrelevant and tiring to anyone outside America especially for continuous fucking seasonal arcs. Someone mentioned the VHS Lord of the Rings episode earlier and I can't describe how much I just want plots like that again.

Did they at least mention Epstein if they're going to octuple down on the TDS? That's the only fucking angle they need to take
