Australia has lifted biosecurity restrictions on beef imports from the United States, one of the key grievances that led the Trump administration to impose tariffs on Australia.

The US has been able to export its beef to Australia since 2019, but certain products were banned over concerns related to mad cow disease, including beef sourced from Canada or Mexico and slaughtered in the US.

Because the American supply chain is so integrated, it meant an effective ban on all US beef to Australia since most of it could not be reliably traced.

So, you didn’t hear this from me but I heard the stupidest fucking thing is being discussed down here in socialist VIC.

I know someone who works inside VicRoads and was told there is a discussion happening and will be rolling out shortly a change to custom plates. So if you have the top tier of custom plates, I can’t remember what they are called but instead of buying them outright, they are going to move to a subscription model.

Apparently, you will no longer be able to buy them outright and they will be attached to a monthly subscription model. As soon as you cancel the subscription, you loose access to the plates and someone else is able to get them straight away.

How fucked up is that?

I think it's considered a donation at this point and not an exchange of goods. We give 1.6 billion, we receive nothing.

Same in all industries here. Meat, Gas, People, Innovations; anything worth a damn is immediately shipped overseas, and then we buy/import inferior quality at a premium price for our domestic population. Country is circling the drain and most of the remaining population still has no idea because they don't care. The thing that will make people care is the housing market/economy collapsing, but when that happens there will be little to do to rectify the situation, and who knows when it will happen as the government will kick and scream continuing to prop it up for as long as they can, even at the expense of the domestic population.

I worked in tourism/hospitality and a lot of indians that you will see outside of the big cities are from tour groups. Hotel chains switched from partnering with Japanese tour group to indian ones post-Covid. They're shit guests and demand the everything be changed to be indian, such as food, amenities, and decor.

They are everywhere in the rural towns down here in VIC and it makes me extremely pissed to see every time.
I was on holiday recently in a small town in remote Gippsland (in Eastern Victoria), population about 1000 and there was several families of Jeets who live in the town and run most of the shops now. Quality of the Jeet shops is really shit too, went to the 1 shop in the town still run by old White boomers which was nice.
The Indian government has helpfully made an official list of overseas Indians around the world.
Just under 1 million here. They all need to be deported and the sooner the better.
