DeFranco raises an interesting point that shouldn't be overlooked: both parents seem to target Cody.

In the David Peltzer (A Child It) Case, David's mother targeted him out of his several brothers, for seemingly no reason. My mother was also the victim of severe abuse by her mother, picked out from her two sisters and brother.

In both cases, alcoholism was a significant factor.

I figured it was because Cody was the youngest (or at least looks the youngest) so he gives the most emotional response to the "pranks" which to them = more viewers. I think on top of that, the older children seem to desperately agree with their shitbag parents and just parrot back everything they say and do, but Cody does not, so that makes him easier for them to target, otherwise he wouldn't have much of a purpose in the video.

No, they have their asses covered on those types of things. Its part of the reason why many of the videos are now being removed, since people are aware and reporting them.

Also I'm not surprised the step-mom has an assault charge. The way she speaks sounds like she has a bunch of dicks in her mouth and is usually a sign of trailer trash. She also seems to be verbally aggressive in all the videos I've heard her in. The dad acts like a giant manchild in his videos, though I'm not sure how much of that is just badly playing up the camera. Either way, "lol I was just pretending to be retarded" isn't a good excuse.

My heart breaks for this poor kids, all of them. They have no one to look up to, to show them right from wrong. When your own father farts in your face and laughs about it, as if he is a genius of comedy, pushes you head first into a bookcase and makes you bleed, shouts at you and calls you names, you surely will have plenty of anger inside of you. Home is supposed to be your safe zone, how can you feel relaxed and safe in a place where people scream at you like mental idiots for no other reason but to get views on youtube? I spent almost half of the day watching their videos and the amount of despicable things I found is staggering.

1. They pretend that they abandoned Cody in a shopping centre, and only call out to him when some passer-by approaches the boy to see why he looks lost. All laugh at him of course for being distressed.
2. Cody gets a black eye on a playground and the ONLY person who consoles him when he cries, and checks his head for any farther injury is a fucking stranger, his own parents don't even hug him, and the shit-of-a-dad asks if he can give him another black eye to match the one he already has?!
3. Dad invites his children to play a game where they have to flip a bottle and if it doesn't land upright they have to SLAP each other on the face, the little girl ends up in tears after being slapped too hard.
4. The mom is also a big sicko. She dresses her oldest son in a mask, sets the house alarm on and shouts to her husband that there is a burglar in the house. The dad falls for it and PULLS A GUN on his own son. It doesn't matter to her that he could kill his own son, cause it's a prank bro.

That awful parents shouldn't be allowed to have those kids.
And it does seem like it's mostly poor Cody who gets the most of the shit. In one video they completely destroy his new ipad, smashing it with a hammer to get a reaction out of him. He gets punched, shouted at and pushed head first into a bookcase when he tries to get away from it all. He is clearly so frustrated and angry that he doesn't know what to do, he is just crying and screaming and the father is having a time of his life. It's disgusting how he brakes that little boys mind with his sick games. The way that child cries, while trying to hide in the toilet, saying "You broke my tablet, I just got it, and I was dying for it... you broke it." how can you listen to that and not want to comfort your own child.
I hope those children get help soon. No one deserves such a childhood...

The problem with 'Just pranks brah' is that you are basically teaching these children that emotional and physical abuse for entertainment and profit is ok. Cody is either going to grow up broken with a million different issues and basically be unable to function normally if he's lucky or a complete sadist and abuser.

There's a chance when he gets older and a little stronger he's going to strike back at his abusers physically. It wouldn't surprise me if in a few years they're used to picking on this kid, but he's gone through puberty and that frustration and rage comes out and he ends up seriously hurting somebody. And they won't be prepared for it in the least because they're used to this kid being a wet blanket.

They need to be removed from the house or the YouTube channel permanently suspended. Also, fuck YouTube for enabling this shit. Channels not worshiping at the altar of SocJus? Instant demonetization. Sick fucking redneck abusing his kids for laughs? Monetized.
